Saturn is my chart ruler, 2019 was rough for me, 2017 was touchy-feely, a lot of changes in my life in those 2 years. When 2020 arrived I was completely unbothered. Like, pfft, calm down people. You know nothing. 2022 was "Fu*k it, I am not gonna stay in line and be exploited". I expect 2024 to bring significant change again.

@placeboo How/where do you find this information? Is it in the ephemeris?

Thanks for posting the data for all these years - it is fascinating! And another indication that 2024 is going to be a doozy.

Leaving it here for science.

First of the Neptune occultation series happens next Tuesday, Dec 19th. Curious whether weather will reflect that. Previous events occured within 2 weeks of occultation so anticipating significant water related event till New Year. A winter storm is forcast for Europe next week but nothing out of ordinary.

Every lunar cycle this winter includes Neptune occultation. There is a break in March and April. And it starts in May again but the second series in summer will happen at 29 degrees Pisces which is super interesting.

@placeboo So is this the second of the 2 Neptune occultations you listed for 2023? With the previous one being 1st September?

And then we have 11 in 2024?

That's right. The occultation on Sept 1st was right after Full Moon though, this one is in a First Quarter phase.

Another one in Full Moon phase happens hours after partial Lunar Eclipse on Sept 18th, 2024.

I mention it because statistically hurricanes intensify more so around New and Full Moons than other times. I guess there is a neat explanation for it involving gravitational pull of the Moon on oceans and atmosphere.

@placeboo Yes, earthquakes too can be caused by the moon cycle. I have a copy of a scientific paper written specifically about that. Scientists are getting more interested in these natural energetic connections, which is good for prediction of such events.

I've noticed that eclipses tend to cause high winds just before occurring.

This is one of my favourite threads, I hope we can keep tracking these occultations here.

@sophiab Poseidon ruled over the sea, storms, earthquakes and horses after all in mythology. I associate Neptune with wild nature, it can be garden of eden, it can be deadly and savage. Where Uranus is more man-made disaster, Neptune is natural one. I see Saturn-Uranus combo as a signature of conflict and war. I keep an eye on their balsamic phase beginning 2027 and eventually their conjunction in Gemini in 2032.

@placeboo The Morocco earthquake which caused mass devastation of towns and villages in the high Atlas region, very high death toll (although numbers were covered up by government) and subsequent homelessness of large numbers of people, and including destruction of buildings in Marrakech, occurred on 9th September 2023, exactly one week after that 1st Sept occultation. So, those full moon occultations are definitely worth tracking.

I wonder how the moon phase impacts what occurs. A first quarter moon in natal astrology denotes younger, initiatory energy I believe, being active, manifesting, doing, etc
