Looking back at December 2023, it was a windy and wet month where I live but not record setting. East and West Coast of United States had notable storms, Australia as well.

7.6 earthquake that hit Japan on New Year's Day happened in disseminating phase of the Moon. Marrakesh–Safi earthquake on Sept 8th, 2023 happened during waning square phase. Both earthquakes happened within same lunar cycle in which occultation occured.

A series of lunar occultations of Saturn and Neptune just stared in May. It coincides with floods in Brazil and Germany and very active tornado season in US. Moon will occult those planets each time it is in Pisces for the rest of the year. Hyperactive hurricane season seems likely.
