I'd think Moon-Uranus contacts maybe with Jupiter thrown in too

: ( thats me

gemini moon opposite uranus, and has aspect to jupiter. moon highly aspected with hard aspects. there's something not quite right with me, but it is managable for the most part in the sense that... it hasnt reached a level thats unbearable enough for me to be put on meds.

i would think mercury would need to be involved somehow too. so i say both

I have Moon conjunct Uranus with Jupiter 4th house. And there's something not quite right with me as well strawb. Thank you for your candor.  I was advised to move towards my NN Mars in Capicorn for stability to guide my ship.  Sometimes though the water gets rough and it's difficult to stay on course..with the grace of God I'm holding on too (without meds).

You can find my mental illness on my grand mutable cross. Moon in Virgo opposing Mercury in Pisces. Saturn in Gemini squares both and opposes Neptune in Sagittarius. The tightest aspects are Mercury/Saturn and Neptune/moon. And mental illness runs in my family.  My paternal grandmother, a Scorpio,  was a particularly bad case. She had aunts who died on psych wards. Scorpio in the third is my IC.

How does the moon affect one's thinking? I would think hard aspects to Mercury would be the culprit here.

I think hard aspects to Moon has more to do with temper

I think about Moon in 12th house, Moon in Capricorn/Pisces, Moon-Neptune (delusion), Moon-Mercury opposition or square. This is what first comes to my mind Smile

Once again I think Moon has more to do with one's temper

I think something with Mercury involved or aspects involving the 3rd house, since Mercury rules mental processes.  The Moon is not really your mentality; it may tell you how you respond emotionally, but that's not "mental"...

Exactly, Mercury is your thinking so bad aspects to your thinking=Mental Illness

Of course not everyone, but I would think mental illness would be more Mercury than Moon

Cancer is my SN. Rough waters, indeed. I haven't been on meds since 2011. I drink a lot of green tea, exercise and inhale lavender oil.  I pray and meditate and avoid energy vampires and joy killers.
