I'd think Moon-Uranus contacts maybe with Jupiter thrown in too

: ( thats me

gemini moon opposite uranus, and has aspect to jupiter. moon highly aspected with hard aspects. there's something not quite right with me, but it is managable for the most part in the sense that... it hasnt reached a level thats unbearable enough for me to be put on meds.

i would think mercury would need to be involved somehow too. so i say both

Yes Mercury is thinking,Mercury has to be involved somehow

Regarding moon...I disagree. Look at the cycles. The moon is a huge deal. There are more homicides during a full moon. Yes. It rules emotions. And if you are overwhelmed by emotions...you are mentally ill.

Also. Look at the chart as a whole. If you have a complicated chart like mine, more than likely you are going to struggle with moods and thought processes.  For example.  My first husband was a triple Libra.  And he had Mars in Libra. Packed first house. He had not a clue how to deal with my moods. I was drowning in an ocean of fuck and he was standing on the shore. Paralyzed with WTF.

I think about Moon in 12th house, Moon in Capricorn/Pisces, Moon-Neptune (delusion), Moon-Mercury opposition or square. This is what first comes to my mind Smile

Once again I think Moon has more to do with one's temper

Uh, you know a "mood disorder" is a form of mental illness, right?

And...it is very hard to pinpoint mental illness in a chart, unless you know for sure the person is mentally ill. My mother has mental problems, and I know what causes them in her chart, but I would never assume those same aspects or placements would cause mental illness in someone else's chart, at least not without knowing them first, because there are myriad ways our energies can manifest.

I'll point out I have Moon sqr Uranus and am rather emotionally stable. I have an Earth Moon in an Earth house, conjunct my Sun.

Unstable emotions cause unstable state of mind/thoughts. I think they are linked.  Moon is also linked to the unconscious or subconscious mind....where a lot of these problems usually come from

I have Mercury 12h square Neptune in the 3rd house with minor aspect to Uranus

So what would you say with someone who had a well aspected moon, but a bad aspected mercury?
