Pluto hit my Sag ascendant when I was a teenager. My whole world consisted of survival skills and major changes. I had to break up fist fights between my dad and ex step mother during odd hours of the morning. I was the caretaker of my younger siblings while my dad was in and out of jail and their mother was spending every free second she had at bars getting drunk and high. There was a 6 month period where I lived in a different place each month (usually with friends until my welcome was over), I was on the run from child services once they caught wind that my dad received a longer jail sentence and I had no legal guardian to look after me (thanks to my ex step mother) and ran from them for two weeks, I was placed in an unofficial foster home (an elderly woman who claimed to be a best friend of my deceased grandmother but did nothing but badmouth about her to me), spent 9 months in the foster home before running away.

Before shit hit the fan in my home life I wasn't allowed to keep any of the money I earned from my part time job. I was treated like shit, like a slave. My ex step mother would use my paychecks as extra money for the bar. One day I went up to my dad, crying, because I needed feminine hygiene products and new clothing because my pants were being held together by safety pins and that's when he finally stood up for me and stopped allowing her treat me the way I was treated for ten years. When I lived with the "foster parent" I didn't see any of my money either as she had my paychecks direct deposited into her account.

This stuff is all only the tip of the ice berg. My life was like a reality drama with one crazy twist and turn after the next. Imagine being 16 and being taken to the child services building in handcuffs by the police because you were set up!

I will say this, Pluto hitting my ascendant made me strong, it made me survive. I didn't allow others to have power over me like when it was transiting through my 12th house. It made me realize that I could survive through the worst of times.

(((((abc333)))))  What an amazing survivor you are.  As Tam said, I cannot even imagine.  But I'm so glad you made it out in one piece!

Thank you all so much for all your kindness!  I feel better just being here.

@Warped - this transit may turn your life inside out, but it will make you realize just how strong you are.

Strong is good, I'd just prefer to not be put to the test!

Much as I like to think of myself as a tough old bird, I know the self-created chaos and stress in my life over the past few years is not healthy, and lately I'm feeling it and worrying about it.  Your health is your wealth (Tam's words!).  If nothing else, these recent transits have made me realize how insignificant money and material stuff and climate, etc. all are in comparison.  And how careless and overconfident I've been for years, the sedentary night owl eccentric who lives on coffee and junk food much of the time.  That's some Saturn in Sagg wisdom, isn't it!

The real irony is that all my false starts and mistakes were made in the name of trying to create a more secure and manageable future for aging -- but the toll of all the mess I made could make that a moot point!  I can live in a tent in the woods if I have to, I just don't want to be sick or incapacitated, please.
