I have this Saturn and I struggle to deal with my emotions, more exactly their intensity. This applies especially whem there anre negative emotions, or better said those that I label as negative. For example: anger, feeling sad or upset, unhappy, worried... All these emotions go to extreme heights and I usually have no control over them... they carry me as they want to. This is what best describes it: a rollercoaster I'm put in and there is goes... out of my reach/ control.

How do you deal with "negative" intense emotions? Do you have Saturn in Scorpio? Did you learn to tame it? Can it be tamed?

My father has this aspect too, I've seen him all my life struggling with his emotions, very tense with all emotions, and very intense. Usually explosive behaviour. Same with me...

Yes, I've Saturn in Scorpio and in 8th house.

I think it can be tamed.  I try not to let emotions like anger build up like I used to.  I try to express them by writing about the situation or talking to someone.  I guess I've found healthier ways to release my emotions.

I did a workshop on Saturn in Scorpio. It's really good as I recall.

Thank you for posting this because it clears up something about my father in law. He was a Marine and had Saturn in Scorpio. His emotions were so volatile that the smallest thing would have him exploding in rage at whoever was in his path. He told me that he enjoyed behaving badly.

Now, my nephew who I wrote about Saturn being activated has his Saturn in Scorpio and he also has a very volatile temper and will hit anyone in his path when he explodes. Recently he has started locking his emotions down and just closing himself off to deal with his pain. I don't think that is healthy either. I personally think he needs a better outlet like sports or a punching bag where he can get his frustrations out of him.

It is always great to read about how other people deal with their planets/positions, etc.

@tonya I think Saturn in Scorpio has a lot of repressed emotions. This is what I've come to understand about myself and my father. I know that certain "explosive behaviours" can be somehow controlled, if I am very aware of what's happening inside me... To give an example, when someone triggers me/ I feel triggered, then (ocasionally, not all the time) I can catch the feeling of anger when it appears. If I am lucky to have felt it that very moment I can observe and feel it and not let myself be carried by it. It is very hard and very seldom because my emotions are insanely intense - at least I feel them this way. But it made me see this as a possibility of working with it... The feeling is extraordinary, because I'm not tortured and exhausted by anger in this scenario.

Most of the times, I can't catch it in that moment and I heat up... In the past, I used to fight with everyone, now I'm learning that it is a waste of energy, of my energy. Although this understanding does not eliminate the intense feeling, at least it is a beginning.

I'm going through therapy and it definitely helped me come a bit closer to this state of feeling boilt with emotions.

I think Scorpio Saturn has very old and repressed emotions... It is said that anger is sadness deep down. And I think it is... In my case, I got early disconnected from my feelings, I had to shut down my emotions and be strong because there was no one there, to have my back although I lived with my parents, so I had to do it. I think this is the repressed part that needs expression... somehow. I can't explain it very well as I'm still in process, but I think Scorpio Saturn is some old stuff repressed... only that to discover what is repressed and why is a long and hard way. Because it is old it will act on the pilot mode - it goes baaang. Very much awareness can help, but sometimes the pilot mode is faster. This is just my observation with how I feel it.

I have Saturn conjunct Pluto and a Leo Mars, so it just adds some fire...

@calliope Saturn and Scorpio both repress emotions and make it difficult to deal with them. I do know that my f-i-l hated dealing with emotions and would lash out to drive others away from him. He hated the thought of being seen as weak. I hope my nephew does not follow in his grandfather's footsteps.

You describe it well and at least you are trying to get therapy for it.

As to the Moon, my nephew's Moon is in Sagittarius as well and he wants his freedom to do what he wants to do which is play games, since there is heavy Piscean influence in his 5th house.

My father in law had his Moon in Leo conjunct Pluto and that alone speaks volumes as to how obsessed he was with control.

@tonya I hope your nephew will find his way to deal and heal this Saturn and find his own path to follow ❤️

I started looking at my anger with more attention and dedication after my first Saturn return. I regret now not dealing with this earlier, as it has brought me much damage in life, but I guess things happen when they have to happen. Earlier I was not able to see the patterns... now, things start to change - slow, but there is change...

@calliope Thank you and so do I.

It is always better late than never when it comes to realizing patterns and working to change them. It isn't easy to change habits and patterns at all. So, to see some progress shows good work.

Hm...I would think this would have more to do with your moon than Saturn. I have a saturn in scorpio ,part of a stellium with my sun and mercury there..Now My sag moon is in the first house and I can be quite moody , but I rarely go into a rage about anything. My Mars is in Libra so social injustice is my trigger for rage.

@opalina My moon is in Virgo in the 12 house. I think my anger has more to do with my fire Mars & Scorpio Saturn. But I have Capricorn ruler of the IC (Moon's natural house) - if I look at it this way, then yes Smile
