Hello
I'd be curious to hear people's thoughts on my Solar Return? I'm doing a Masters in Child Psychotherapy and I'm in my final year so the Moon Pluto could be that. I'm actually single but would like to meet someone relationship wise and I wonder if could see it in my astrology? Or any other comments on my SR? I've also attached my progressions and transits with natal. Thank you.
Something about you compels me so I dug into your Solar return. The answer is yes, you can tell from the SR if you'll be able to make a relationship. This is going to be a long ass post because I'm a lonely Gemini and I have a lot to say.
When you're looking for a relationship in a Solar return chart, you look mostly at the signs rising and setting, the sign on the 5th house cusp, the conditions of Venus and Mars. Broadly, Ascendant in Taurus, Leo, Libra, or Scorpio give a chance or focus on love, sex, and relationships. There can be 8th house or Moon action as well. For example: in my mom's Solar return for the year she met my dad, she had Venus in Taurus in house 7, aspecting only Jupiter in Scorpio and Saturn in Pisces. She also had the North Node rising in that chart as well as FOUR planets in Pisces in house 5, including the Moon and Mars. Wouldn't ya know, my dad is a double Pisces.
I use whole sign houses, which is controversial, but I've gotten good results. YMMV. For the sake of intellectual honesty, I also cast the regular equal house chart. I just dig straight into the SR. I don't consider transits to it. I only pay super close attention to close conjunctions and oppositions to natal positions, unless a dominant planet is involved or a formation appears (e.g. Yod, T-square).
In the whole sign chart, you have no planets in houses 5 or 7. I look at the rulers of the signs on those cusps. Scorpio is on the 5th, ruled by Mars and Pluto, I'm dealing with a very personal matter so I'm going with Mars. It's in Pisces in house 9, conjunct Saturn and sextile Jupiter. There's some potential for a fun romance with elements of emotional saturation, perspective, stability, and/or restrictions there. There's a Venus-North Node conjunction. This is a flag for a fated love, especially since you are a Venusian with that Libra Rising / Taurus Moon combo deal. This could also be interpreted in other ways such as as your values making a profound mark on your destiny, you making a significant change to your appearance, &c. Since it's in the 10th (or near it, in equal houses) it looks great for your job prospects, for what that's worth.
In the equal house chart, you have Pluto in the 7th. I’d call this another pointer to a fated/Karmic relationship. I would also caution you that there’s a chance for abuse, abandonment, and torment where Pluto is. That’s his bad side. But he has a good one, an all-consuming, totally non-superficial side. Remember that both the Descendant and Venus rulers for this chart are in Pisces. Don't get desperate in your search for love. Don’t be impulsive or obsessive and do not forsake your boundaries and your values. Then some good can come through and shape you for the better, whether it lasts forever or not. You’re not out of time until you’re dead.
All in all, I believe in free will first, and if you give yourself a pep talk and put yourself out there you can always snag a nice, fresh human. Especially with your Pluto+Ascendant and your 8th house Moon, all you need to do is be in just the right place and people will climb your legs like hungry kittens. I see this as a more career-focused year for you, but if you put in the hours and preserve yourself, you could get a relationship off the ground with this chart.
There's more I could dig out of this chart, but if I did more I'd both go off topic and feel like I was taking business away from Elsa and Satori. (hint: the Moon is your chart ruler for this Solar return, why don't you get some Lunar returns to see when shit gets good!) I'll shut my playboy mouth now and leave this much for your edification.
