I'm not sure this is a synastry thing.  Some people are more prone to jealousy that others. Some people attract envy more than others.

There may be a synastric tie, but it may also be the the jealous person has some transit going on that's sensitizing them. Same with the person who is attracting the jealousy.  We all have our time on top the wheel. When you're up there, people are jealous. When you fall, they switch their jealously to someone else...unless they're fixed. It's possible a person be jealous of someone else, for a lifetime, or at least it seems that way!

Bottom line, I think this is more complicated than an aspect(s) between charts.  Great question!

The two people that are the most jealous of me both have Saturn in Aquarius opposite my Sun/Mars in Leo.

There's been no contact for many years, thankfully.  Why feed that beast?

Psychologist explain jealousy as occurring in people who think they don't have enough or aren't good enough themselves.  It's essentially a lack of self-esteem, self-worth, self-belief.

So any time they meet someone who they perceive to be better than themself in some way, they'll project the jealousy on to that person instead of looking inwards to see what is causing it within them.

To make an incredibly long story short, I am certainly nothing to ride home about. I am average, and like many average people, I am okay with being average. I am not often envied. However, I have two individuals in my life who are painfully jealous of me, and it's so obvious, that it makes me cringe. I don't think they know I can see it. I mean, anyone could! They have been in my life for quite sometime. Their thinly veiled defense mechanisms make me terribly uncomfortable! These two people both have their Saturn conjunct my Mars at a 1 degree orb. I seem to know my stuff in areas they lack knowledge in completely. Instead of caring to learn, they put me down. I mean, REALLY put me down. Their cutting remarks reflect sheer intimidation. 

I personally believe there is nothing that creates envy like Mars-Saturn or Sun-Saturn. Saturn is envious of the "light" Sun or Mars has. Thoughts?  

So this example proves the point.

Saturn is where one feels lacking or limited hence they feel jealous of the Mars person because that person can do something they can't.

Also, KidA, you are not "average". You have an enormous presence. It is totally outbound, off the charts. This was evident the day you showed up here, so it's not surprising people react to you.

I was once told that people will be jealous of those who live in the "light".  Or touched by God's light, (I know it sounds religious but there's a lot of deeper meaning to that). If you live in the light and have known /understand darkness, and you embrace light, you will always be bathed in love. Maybe astrology has a lot to do with this, like forgiveness, letting go, being self conscious of others, what you do to them, taking care of yourself ect.
