Very interesting. NN was transiting my seventh house (placement of WSH moon) when I met my ex and long term friend. Together for a decade, still friends (ruler of seventh, in eleventh). 

NN was transiting the first house of man I was in a relationship with (different relationship than above). At that time, it was transiting my twelfth which makes sense looking back at it, haha.

I've actually noticed in friends, family and celebrities transits and progressions that transits or progressions by the NN can have effects even several orbs away from the natal planet or angle. The near/close to or exact conjunctions tend to result in meaningful events or changes but the fact that the transiting NN is simply in the same sign of a natal planet/angle can have an impact in line with the nature of the natal planet or angle.

Hehe, I laughed when I read your last paragraph. Definitely different experiences and views of the same relationship with NN transiting one's first house and another's twelfth house...

Just had a brief glance and found that:

* During my nodal return, I met my partner. Jupiter was conjunct my north node. The 11th & 5th house’s were activated. Makes sense that I met him via a mutual friend.

* More recently, when the transiting NN was conjunct my descendant, I met who I believe, to be another soul mate. Transiting Pluto was conjunct my venus and natal north node in the 11th. Naturally, because we were/are both already partnered, nothing can become of this. I struggled to find a meaning to why we met. Just messed with my mind ?.

When I find more time I’ll check out other significant moments in my life and share node details. Very fascinating these nodes. They seem to possess a haunting, fatalistic quality.

Interesting outcomes from your nodal return, Jupiter transit to NN and the NN transit to Dsc.

I used to look at the NN/SN pairs (their signs and houses) to understand life direction and purpose. 

And then I started an intense astro pet project which resulted in my realising how these transits are very fated...as if the symbolism of the natal planet or angle and its natal signification (e.g. what houses the planets rule in a particular chart - all those connections) become activated and actualised.

Yes, finding another soulmate person when you have already found one...that could seriously mess up with someone's mind for a while...

With these transits being nodal transits something in or from the exchanges/encounters is probably very meaningful and becomes integrated internally in some way....just my guess.

The nodal axis is squaring my Sun/Saturn opposition at 29 Pisces/Virgo. Using whole sign houses, transiting NN is at the end of the 6th house. Not sure if I should read that as conjunct the descendant and look for impact there and in the 7th/1st or if I should look to the 6th/12th.
