Venus square Neptune in synastry:

Your love for each other has a very dreamy, idealistic, and romantic quality. You are infatuated with each other, sometimes almost hypnotized by each other. You tend to have glamorous and idealistic notions of each other that are far removed from reality. This relationship is prone to major disappointments when you each discover that your partner is not as perfect as imagined. Disillusionment and disappointment are likely, but you can mitigate this tendency if you allow yourself to enjoy the dreamy romanticism without projecting your wildest fantasies onto your partner, believing you have found the companion of your dreams.

Is your Venus square your partner's Neptune or vice versa? What's it like?

Still learning this stuff. Thought I had this aspect with the ex but his Neptune is at four degrees Scorpio and my Venus is at sixteen degrees Aquarius so that's too wide. Still, I wore my rose-colored glasses to the bitter end. That's my energy, though. I put my men on pedestals.

My Neptune is square his Venus/Mars conjunction. He has this natally, so I don't know how much interstellar shit we are talking about, but I do think that I slip behind a pretty purple fog sometimes for him ... especially when I do my hair differently or wear a different kind of skirt than I normally do. Isn't that weird? It's like, as soon as I change something small, he sees me with entirely new eyes and is once again enchanted. It makes me want to keep changing for him, keep evolving so that I can stay one step ahead of his easily-bored Venus/Mars in Aries.

He is hard to nail down. It's hard to see him clearly, too, though I try, very hard. His Mercury, Jupiter and MC are in my 12th house.

What about Venus trine Neptune?  Does it have all the good stuff but none of the bad of a square?
