Popping in after seeing the related post in main blog today; sometimes the manifestation is much obvious & simple. I have Mars in gemini, I'm cross-dominant.

Also, in my mind, Scarlet Witch should be the poster kid for Gemini Mars, cause you know, she fights by shooting red wiggly woos from her hands!

@gogol, since I couldn't double like your post, I must say, thank you so very much for sharing the info about cross-dominance!  I share it, too, in various ways (Moon in Gemini, for me; my Mars is in Cancer, Moon- ruled, so, there).  Again, many thanks, valuable info = nourishing food, for this Gemini ♊ Moon ?.  Gemini smily

Interesting note but I read that Alexander the Great had a Gemini Mars and then come to find, so does Tom Brady. I started to put together the pieces of how one of the greatest conqueror the world has know as well as the greatest football player ever in a position that requires strategic thinking have this placement.

Something of note in my view is the fact since the sign is mutable and knowledge ruled, it can always come up with the best strategies for a given situation. A Scorpio mars for example may have fixation and an Aries mars initiation but really, A Gemini Mars when focused can more than rival those two signs.

I think a Gemini Mars is more of the war general and war strategist type, they can come up with the best strategies for complicated situations.

When I think of a Gemini Mars, I think of the tactician ability of Alexander The Great in battle or of Tom Brady in reading the field.

IMO, it is one of the most underrated placements in astrology. Other sources call it unfocused and I agree, on its own it can barely get much done. Pair it with fixated energy and I think it is far more effective than a Scorpio or Aries mars.

One more comment on this; I've been thinking about it lately. Mars in Gemini (or Gemini, more generally) is charged with being a liar. But everybody lies, and people can & do speak the truth with the intention of hurting other people (the rising trend of being "brutally honest"). Hence, it stands to reason that if we do have to lie, we should do it thoughtfully, and with the purpose of helping others. Injurious truth is just as bad as injurious lies- Gemini recognises that. So if you want a lesson in the art of lying, you should probably go to a gemini!

I don't think Gemini lies any more often than the other mutables - or other signs. Gemini does love to communicate and they do it all day long... raised a G-stellium.

I have the Mars and he can exhaust me.

Everyone does lie. If they claim they don't they are a liar.

I love having Mars in Gemini especially right now ? but I have to make lists and stick to them or I can tend to get scattered... having a lot of fixed energy does help. I have to start my day with an itinerary or I will start 5 things and only finish 2!

Gemini's are damn smart. I think strategy when I think Gemini.

@soup  My late husband used to say that he "hates a liar"--but he told his own share of lies! LOL  In high school he dumped me for one set of reasons, but told me it was another. Liar, liar, ? ?

(He had Mercury and Moon in Gemini.)

I totally agree, everybody lies! I guess I'm trying to say that the sign of Gemini is more frequently associated with lying (I'm making an observation here, after reading many posts/comments etc). And yes, personally, I also watch out for the type that says they don't lie, ever Grinning
But note that I'm also trying to make a broader point here. I'm saying that lying in itself is not a reprehensible act. It's only an act, one that serves a purpose in our social co-habitation (otherwise why do we all lie, at some point or other?). I can think of ten examples where blurting out square facts is just cruel & ineffectual, but you're much older & experienced than I am, & I'm sure you can think of a hundred more. I've come to realize that judicious & thoughtful lying is an underrated skill, & sometimes people need to be reminded of that. I suppose I'm trying to defend the art of lying, of which Gemini is supposedly a master!

I could go on, but I'm just gonna leave a favorite piece of mine from someone far more eloquent & well-informed than me, linked here (a v.short essay from one of my favorite authors. To you & anyone who reads this comment, please do give it a read if you haven't already).

@soup, Moon in Gemini, double ditto.  Plan the work, then work the plan has never aided me... but, putting own to paper about what I wanted to accomplish the next day, has often helped me to keep my focus that next day.  LOL re struggling for methods to attain/keep mental focus, all the while knowing from experience that so many innovative inspirations have come from... mental distracted was.  ::big hugs to you - is Georgia at all like the old Matlock tv series, set there?  If you haven't seen them, they're on youtube... I Needed fiction, to live, that's why I know:: Cancer smiley ?

This has been an interesting read.  My husband w/OOB Mars in Gemini   He was a beautiful writer, calm, unflappable, could solve anything w/his strategic mind and spent any spare time reading. He was smart and kind to everybody.  He loved war history and was athletic all his life and my astrology mentor once said many athletes have OOB Mars in Gemini -- I think she was right.  Mars in Gemini runs in his family - they are smart people and athletic also.

I'm the opposite of all of the above ?

@windsaloft2, please accept my clumsy condolences.  Heart wrenching is a real word, I know.  Thank you so very much for sharing here a glimpse of your loved one.

The things you said about the man you loved - love still, it seems - were similar to the man I loved (and still do, since he died) who had Mars in Gemini in his natal chart.  Mars new symbol

Honestly I don't know how to unwrap my Mars in Gemini, since it's trapped in my 12th, and opposite Uranus.

All I know right now is that I put my husband's jeans in the washing machine, and there was pocket knife in them. The knife opened up during the wash cycle and gouged the shit out of the inner drum. I see transiting Mars conjunct my natal Mercury in Gemini, and an expensive appliance repair in my future!

We bought the new washer and dryer last year with our first stimulus check. Now I'm starting to wonder if that was bad juju... but that's probably a dumb thought, and I really just need to remember to always check my husband's damn pockets before throwing things in the washing machine. He obviously needs to remember too, but the truth is the knife got past both of us this time.

Mars in Gemini can be a lot of things. Oftentimes it is clever, like a pocket knife... Today, however, not so clever: stuck in a washing machine (12th house?) on the spin cycle (opposite Uranus?).  shiny chicken
