Progress.
My garden is fully, in, unless I see something marvelous somewhere.
I also planted flowers this year; zinnias and Mexican sunflowers which I hope, work out!
I also planted, Marigolds, for Day of the Dead, but this is usual. Jilly's sister gave me the zinnia and sunflower seeds. She's got a sophisticated flower garden. I trade her greens, including the weeds that she likes to eat. They threaten my garden, each year, but for some reason, don't grow at her house.
I lost some garlic plants - they split. These were planted in my garden, rather than my flower garden, which is sheltered from the peak sun. Plan to try a different variety next year.
We've had tons of rain so I've not been in the garden much, but I got out there today and it's looking good. I think it will take off as soon as it dries out, which will be today... however it's raining tomorrow and the next day, so for the moment, it's all left to grow on it's own.
Four more days of rain. I like this, because the garden grows itself.
Also, all four of my dogs like green smoothies. wth?
The garden has been taking precedent on days off. Im getting tired of it already Im over 1/2 way planted. Spring is the hard part.
I am harvesting peas and a handful of strawberries daily.
Gave everything a dose of lime, borax and fish fertilizer. Some things went CRAZY with the nutrients.
I have scallions, leeks, shallots, egyptian walking onions and red onions.
I guess Im really into onions this year.
I am so in love with finding carrots from last year, I keep planting more carrots.
And zinnias, lots of zinnias, I see the earwigs are eating the zinnia.
When I get a day off I will address that.
