I found an old part of a story from my xanga blog, circa 2003. I want to post it and will but I need to find an additional part of the story.  To do this, I need a keyword.

One keyword that would work is the name of this band... sometimes you can say a lot about a person if you consider something they listen to obsessively.

In this case, it was a single album, a debut album that rocketed to the top of the charts... probably near #1.  The band was innovative in that the music was "electronic" and mostly instrumental.  Sort of like taking pink floyd into outer space. The ONE album was HUGE. I don't think they did anything significant after.

I believe there was one guy heading it but there... and I remember now!

These...

ha ha ha

brainstorm complete. I am the eye in the sky... I can read your mind... creepy then. Creepy now.

Always liked that song, but can't recall any others by him.  I used to confuse Alan Parsons with Joe Jackson for some reason, and his hit, "Steppin' Out," another favorite.

@warped I worked in a restaurant when thos album came out. My boss was obsessed with it. Played it all day, every day. It unnerved me at first, but grew on me over time.

Listening today, I noted 42 million views on YouTube.  Apparently it's in video game GTA. Other places too, I'm sure. It's weird how these things travel.

The beginning of that song reminds me so much of Pink Floyd. Alan Parsons was the engineer on Dark Side of the Moon.

The lyrics are creepy, but the arrangement puts me to sleep!

@lislioness thanks.  I recall that detail now.

When I'm writing a story,  or dialogue,  it helps if there is a soundtrack.  Music, but also just sounds in the environment.  It's a detail, I just realized, today. Smells are also good.
