I have received some things easily. I'll never be able to make the statement that my life is totally self-made, because I have been fortunate to have my needs well met throughout life. But I do feel like I have capitalized on what I've been given, and that I have worked hard for some of what I have - my own efforts have pushed me further and driven me to excel (especially in school and work), and that hasn't just been handed to me.

To an extent, I feel indebted because of what I've received and envy those who are self-made who may not have to deal with those types of feelings. But I accept that this is how things worked out for me cosmically so I try to embrace all of it.
