The holidays are great and we will probably have the usual plans, Thanksgiving here unless someone else wants to/needs to do it at their place, and Christmas Eve Day here.

What a difference a year makes but any one of us can say that, too! Last Thanksgiving was just a week after my husband was shot. That was the atmosphere then, with shock and questions but also enveloped in warmth, love, and help.

It will be a wonderful holiday time!

This year has flown. Last Xmas feels like it was yesterday!

I always enjoy the festive season. It’s the simple things; like decorating the Xmas tree, admiring the pretty lights, fine food, and good company.

I will be doing my usual activities like catching up with friends/family. I have a wedding in early January which will nice.

I look forward to the collective upbeat vibe when I’m out and about. Festive season=fun times 🎉.

last winter My plan to buy tie dye shirts for gifts bombed out. The ones I wanted were nowhere to be found!! I was so disappointed.

Last weekend I saw a yard sale with Tye Dye shirts. They are gorgeous! The artist did batik as well. He is clearly gifted, never saw such nice work EVER!, It is NOT easy. They are BAMBOO. The ladies are fitted! They are so beautiful. I got the bulk of my main gifting DONE in one swoop. He and his wife could not believe I bought a couple hundred bucks worth.

This town is SO conservative; he said people stopped to tell him how much they HATE tie dye. I was the only person who even liked them, let alone bought a bunch.

Im so grateful for the season change and to be out of the constant air conditioner freeze.

Its all about Mom these holidays. The last grandparent alive for my kids. She is in cancer treatment and slowly letting go. Whatever she can handle is what we will do. Its crazy how much power CANCER has. It directs much.

Cancer=time or lack of time.
