Someone is going to get punched in the face one day. I can’t imagine everyone is giggling over this.

@allie120 no one is going to trust anyone. This journey started for me when people thought they could take pictures of people and post them on the internet. I'm talking about, satori, more than 20 years ago,  Someone took a bunch of pics of her at a dinner... unflattering,  meaning, she hated them. They posted them and tagged her. I would have liked to smack the shit out of that person.

She was not feeling good. The person was sitting next to her, looking perfect. This is how cheap people sell you.

But seeds of distrust, where no one trusts anyone, that’s a low trust society. That kind of mindset feeds upon itself because there are enough instances where it’s warranted. This makes me think of kids not really out there playing on their own, in groups, unsupervised and not micromanaged by adults, like when we were kids. Low trust, fear, danger lurking everywhere…create anxious kids/teens/adults who need affirmation on everything they do.

That said, I think it’s a different form when it’s one’s likeness, address, family information, medical information, etc. out for anyone to grab. We may have consented to give something/someone our information at one point, but that entity now has some power over us. Then third, fourth, fifth parties where we have not consented have it.

Reminds me of voting.

"Hey! Aren't you X's mom?  I'm a friend of his..."

My husband said, "Since no one trusts anyone anymore, I'd be suspicious..."

My point, exactly.

@elsa I’d be suspicious then I’d be pissed. I was just amazed by the young people in the video who were laughing, like omg 😄. To me, it almost seemed like it was staged. But I also understand that young people grew up with their information blasted out everywhere (both willingly and unwillingly) vs one’s address being in a big paperback book available to anyone.

I found this thread and it’s fascinating (read entire thread if you can).

Oh, my focus here is on how nowadays we’re tagged in everything we do, not the transgender topic.
