Years ago, I was nearly catfished from a guy Overseas. The minute he asked for a large sum of money and his stories were not adding up, I quickly ended communication and blocked him. The only terrible thing was the nearly $2000 phone bill I foolishly racked up from chatting with him. Took me 2 years to pay it all off. I wanted to cry a river, but lesson learned, of course.
