Venus Opposite Pluto – Positives

Building an empire“Venus opposite Pluto. Is there anything good about this aspect? Think I read some other posts and there is so much death. Anything else?”

You’re right. Most of what’s written about Venus opposing Pluto is “dark”.  I appreciate your pointing this out.  I’m on of the people who have written about it.  I feel many looking for information on this topic, do want the edgy information, so I “go there”.  Into the dark void, to spell it out.

But I see this is superficial.  And you can only expect so much, cruising around the internet, to learn about your chart.  This is hard, challenging writing and for what?

It’s challenging because people are by and large, disconnected from their true selves.  Let me answer this question by telling you about a client of mine, who has Venus opposing Pluto (in Scorpio in his 4th house).

I met this man when he was 17 years old. He’s now in his thirties and we continue to work together.

He’s always had a love of power.  His culture allows for such a thing, which helps. He comes from a powerful family and from the time he was a child he’s always wanted to achieve what his father has.  Specifically, it’s a rich family, loyal to the bone.

I’m describing someone who is authentic to their true core desire. This man has not been told there is something wrong with being who he is.

Now is he “dark”?  He’s not.  He was raised with exacting standards.  He should not lie, he should not steal, he should not cheat.  It’s pretty drastic. He’s grew up with privilege, but if he was to use it to harm someone, his father would strike him down.

Did he try to marry “power”? Of course!
Did he manage this? Of course!

Part of the reason is his culture does not hang fake garbage and frilly things over what is real to them. This is stripped down, raw and real, relating. He’s a perfect example of someone living the life they’re designed for.

If you have this aspect in your chart, and you want to understand it, you’ll have to go deeper than generalities found on the internet.  Look at the signs and the houses involved.  Excavate who you are really are and really desire, as opposed to what society says you should desire.

My client is an empire builder.  It’s right there in the chart. Legions of people would denigrate him for this, shame him for this.  They want him to have the values they want him to have, but he is impenetrable, in part, because he’s honest.

Do you have Venus opposing Pluto?  What do you desire, deep down?

  1. So my natal Venus (in my 12th house of Aquarius) is square (I think?) my natal Saturn, Pluto, and Jupiter – all in my 8th house. My Saturn and Pluto are in late degrees of Libra and my Jupiter in early degrees of Scorpio.

Transiting Pluto is now conjunct my natal Venus at 1 degree of Aquarius.

My 8th house stellium and 12th house Venus are (I think??) trining my Sun, Mercury, and Neptune in my 10th house
and Uranus in my 9th house. All of these planets are in Sag.

Am I nuts to be excited? 😂

PS where can we sign up for a reading with you?

  2. Thank you very much for this post! This speaks very clearly to me, I learn from concrete examples like these. Mine is venus in taurus 4th opposite pluto in 10th and externally this is my grandfather- he was the dark figure of the entire family or even family tree may I say- tho in the end he did make ammends with a few people. My father’s side of the family was always fraught with plutonian issues of all kinds. I believe my strong pluto oppositions are inherited but it’s my responsability to handle it and to admit I also posses enough of the traits I see in their side. I was the golden one and now I lived enough to be the villain. But it is not very distressing, seen this happening to all of them, I do think most of this side have a heavy pluto signature. Internally, for me love is pain and trust is hard. And many other things. I asked this having pluto venus in mind thinking about my friend who suffered pain. I wanted to find out about the light entering the cracked pieces, thank you!

  3. When Pluto transit opposed my natal Venus I think it destroyed a rel with an adult daughter. Not sure if it was in play but assume it had to be? Opposition from 1st to 7th. Natal V is conjunct SN. Across my 1st opp 7th stellium I am now estranged from entire family of origin.

  4. Interesting. I have, this aspect and both planets square Saturn. I wish I knew how to answer the question in terms of this aspect, but I don’t.

    1. Oops, this is Pluto. My Venus trines Pluto, not opposes. I was substituting Neptune, which opposes Venus in my chart. Don’t mind me!

      1. I see on the internet that Venus trining Pluto is a pretty favorable aspect, with Pluto amplifying some favorable characteristics of Venus….

      2. This aspect is one of those I’ve always wondered how it must be like to have, venus trine pluto, it sounds charismatic without other hassles that pluto brings. 🙂
