Your strong 3rd house can def attract someone with Mercury as a descendant ruler. But what condition is Mercury in, in his own chart? It’s sign, house and aspects would tell you more about what he is attracted to.

What about your Venus? what aspects does it make? Is it in house 3? If so, you also might be attracted to Mercury.

Sagittarius Sun conjunct Sagittarius Mercury in the 10th house, which is weird considering I have a Capricorn Sun located in the 3rd house so the energy is similar in that aspect. His Mercury also sextiles his Moon (Aquarius) and Uranus (Scorpio).

I have Venus in Aquarius in the 3rd house. Venus squares my ASC/DSC axis, conjuncts Moon and sextiles Mars.

Capricorn is on my DSC so Saturn is the 7thruler, and my partner has Jupiter as ruler of 7th.

Does your descendant ruler and/or planets in your 7th house describe your ideal partner’s personality? (taking into consideration house placement and aspects)

my 7th and 8th house are ruled by Sat. Also in 7th merc conj dsc and uranus and neptune are inside.

My Saturn to his planets: conjunct his moon; quintile his sun, sextile mercury (his asc ruler!), semisquare jupiter (his DSC ruler), trine his ASC and wide conjuct to his MC

Have you had the ruler of your descendant in your partner’s chart aspect your personal planets? For instance, if your descendant ruler is Mercury, are you attracted to people whose Mercury in their own chart aspect your personal planets?

Well his Saturn sextiles my Venus and trines my Jupiter.

What about exchanges where your descendant ruler aspects their descendant ruler or the ruler of your descendant in their chart aspects the ruler of their descendant in your chart?

Yes, My Saturn sextiles his Mercury.

Can you check the synastry of your best relationship for aspects to the 7th ruler? Not so good relationships too?

mentioned above.

My 7H is Pisces. I only have Chiron there and it’s opposite my Uranus Pluto moon conjunction. I have Saturn in Pisces conjunct the DC (but it’s below the DC, in the 6H, equal house).

Pisces’ ruler is in Scorpio, my 3H. That is also trine Chiron.

Does your descendant ruler and/or planets in your 7th house describe your ideal partner’s personality? (taking into consideration house placement and aspects) I guess I can really only speak about my husband now. He has no Pisces but Pisces rules his 4H. But he is an 8H sun with Mercury. Um....this is not an easy thing. At all. Sometimes I wish he might be more Piscean but in reality I don’t know if I would be comfortable with that as a life partner. I’ve never dated a
Pisces but I have/had people close to me that are and I appreciate them.

Have you had the ruler of your descendant in your partner’s chart aspect your personal planets? For instance, if your descendant ruler is Mercury, are you attracted to people whose Mercury in their own chart aspect your personal planets?

My husband and I are of the same Neptune in Scorpio generation but we are many degree separated. However, his Neptune does sextile my AC and Mercury and Venus.

What about exchanges where your descendant ruler aspects their descendant ruler or the ruler of your descendant in their chart aspects the ruler of their descendant in your chart?

No, I don’t think it does.

Can you check the synastry of your best relationship for aspects to the 7th ruler? Not so good relationships too?

I don’t know the other details of other people I have had serious relationships with. I dated two Scorpios that had impacts on my life, as well as a Virgo. I think where I am is where I need to be right now ?. So this is difficult for me to answer.

For those who typically use modern planetary rulers, I wonder about the interactions of the traditional planets regarding the questions about synastry above, ie. Saturn as the traditional ruler is Aquarius, Jupiter as the traditional ruler of Pisces, etc.

This is a fascinating topic. The answer to the first 2 questions is yes.

What surprised me was the exact trine between my and his descendant rulers..wow! (Mercury trine Uranus)
