What house systems have you used?  What house system are you using at the moment?

Do you have planets that change houses in different house systems?  Does that affect what you think of them?

I changed to the Whole System a few months ago and my chart made much more sense to me after I did. Yes, a few planets did switch over. My Mercury and Mars moved into the 8th house with my Sun and Pluto. I have no close conjunction from Pluto to my Mercury and Mars, but I have always felt like my Virgo planets were Plutonic. I know my Sun is conjunct Pluto, but my Mercury [mind] is more like a Scorpio than anything else.

I look at my Progressions and a Solar Arc chart and I am loaded down with planets in Scorpio. My SA Pluto is on my Progressed Sun in Scorpio. I was flipping out with all of the Plutonic placements. Then, I started to wonder is the Progressed and Solar Arc chart why I am feeling more of a pull to Scorpio?

And back to the WS it moves my Saturn into my 4th house and that makes sense, because I had a strict upbringing. My home life was definitely Saturnish. And it sends my Moon into my 5th house and that makes a lot of sense too.

But can it be said that the Placidus, Equal and Whole system have bits of truth in them?

interesting, i never considered whole system before...

i used placidus for a long time since that's what i was first introduced to, but since coming on this blog ive been using equal house.

it changes the house of venus (my chart ruler) from 11th to 12th with equal house. and it changes all my house cusps except the 2nd/8th houses which remain firmly in the scorpio/taurus axis regardless.

venus in 12h is MUCH more accurate re: my love life, my personality, than the 11th house placement, so that's what makes me veer towards the equal house system more.

I use Placidus and Equal. Equal makes more sense for my Uranus/Pluto and I like having Juno in the 11th house instead of the 12th.

But when it comes to the current transit of Uranus in Aries it makes much more sense to use Placidus. I have made, lost, and dumped a lot of friends with Uranus in Aries which would make no sense using the Equal house system. Normally I don't lose or dump friends.

I use Equal. It works. Placidus and Equal put my sun in my 5th. I'm Aquarius but definitely with a 5th house flair. My Mercury and Venus are in Cap in 5th and for all their concreteness, they can do a bit of drama. lol

Placidus is the same as Equal but puts my 3rd/9th intercepted. Not sure what to make of that but Whole doesn't speak to me.

l had been using Placidus but something seemed off, slightly but off. l recently began to use Whole house system and felt that this solved some of what seemed off so that was really good. l still felt as though there was some relevancy to that Placidus while the Whole was better. l needed to solve this problem so l am no longer inhibited by what may very well be arbitrary boundaries created by these housing systems. l had been putting too much importance on these divisions of houses.

Nothing in our lives exists in a vacuume and this idea of an abrupt end to an energy makes no sense whatsoever. Wherever my planets change houses with the Whole house system, l now interpret them as the natural flow between both, carrying traits of each. lt seems very natural and answers to some potent influences that l feel exist in my nature. This involves Pluto and my Moon while using both charts. l am glad to have solved this problem for myself now, everything seems to add up now.wink
