While listening to the latest installment of a podcast series * about people who have doggedly pursued their big important dreams, it occurred to me that these are stories about people who tapped into both - Jupiter and Saturn - for years, until the door of opportunity opened for them.

One funny bit, for example: Taraji P. Henson had intended to pass on an audition, because she'd already printed the notices for her garage sale (she needed the money; so many auditions had led to little or no pay).

* "We Regret to Inform You: The Rejection Podcast" from the Apostrophe Podcast Company.  Written and hosted by Sidney O'Reilly.

What have you experienced, or observed, that struck you as a Jupiter+Saturn nutshell?

I made this topic because I had been pondering about Jupiter and Saturn combined (through aspect), in broader terms than the current conjunction.

Broader in time, too.  I happened on an article, written by someone else pondering this:

@elsa, sadly, really safely, I do think that's one potential development of Jupiter Saturn, and of Aquarius.  The ugly side of all of them.  Unfortunately, the people who firmly believe they have all the answers are our worst bet for leaders.  Hitler, e.g.  Stalin.  Among many other lesser knowns... Jim Jones among them.  "Don't drink the koolade" means don't blindly swallow what a charismatic leader is telling you is the thing to do.

I do so enjoy that ElsaElsa is a place where we can think "out loud," about real matters, using an astrological lens, and able to reference the astrological side.  Elsa, I'm so very grateful to you, over and over, and for this, here, your Jupiter Saturn kind of long standing (Saturn)... well, you call it a bar (Jupiter), and I say, library (Jupiter).  Could be, probably, there are actual bars that have reference books behind the counter, of on shelves on the customer side.

PS Anyone who hasn't read Spider Robinson's stories (technically, science fiction, but really just literature, with a smarter of sci-fi) they're set in Elsa's type of bar: the lights are on, and people talk about what really matters to them.  Gold, pure gold.

What really matter to someone is another manifestation of Jupiter + Saturn.

Tried to edit, but took too long.  Time for editing expired. The first sentence was "sadly, really sadly..." before *autocorrect* butted in it's stupidness.

It's supposed to ask, before interfering.  ::fuming emoji::

Jupiter Saturn, embodied in people, longtime contributor on ElsaElsa, Chad, is one brilliant example of expressing the combination of Jupiter Saturn, Sagittarius and Capricorn, with a fine elegance.  Sagittarius smiley Capricorn smily

Hmm.  I suspect that the combination of jupiter and Saturn, whatever the aspect, it transit, or synastry, might maybe facilitate ideological constructs: fascism, or communism, e.g.  (I should look up historical charts, but, right now I'm musing out loud, as it were).

Elsa has written widely about Jupiter, and Sagittarius (and Pisces) in aspect with Saturn, and Capricorn (and Aquarius).  Well worth the read.  Elsa is Capricorn personified, she shares her wisdom learned through experience and study.

I'm not so keen to research why, currently in the US, there might be an increase in such hardheaded, hardhearted, ideological attitudes.  Makes me horribly sad, whenever I see such things.  My fervent hope is that sufficient numbers of people will keep sense of what really matters, what really makes the essence of the US.  That's my prayer, too.

I have Sun/Mercury/Venus/Mars in Capricorn and Moon/Ascendant in Sagittarius. I also have Jupiter and Saturn sharing the sign Aquarius not close enough for a conjunction but they share a forward looking orientation.  I am an elementary school librarian and technology teacher (Saturn/Capricorn) My two favorite things to do is read and tell stories, do finger plays (Jupiter/Sagittarius) and teach coding and robotics (Saturn/Jupiter/Aquarius). My north node is in Leo (children) in the 9th house (Jupiter's natural house).

@jana, Wow.  Talk about putting innate skills to use.  (My mother, educator like you, would have so wanted to meet you.)

There's a potential for good, or for ill, in every gift.  Kudos to you for doing what you do!
