@Pluto IMO, just makes sure, the Moon is not VOC. 

Another outcome could be to meet the person, eh, nothing, go out again when Mercury is direct and swoosh!

so with a retrograde we can think differently -
For example, lack of clarity?

Communicate differently - for example in a confused way? rude?
Blowouts that you regret later? nervous? Criticism?
Debate? And it creates a negative atmosphere? A tendency to get hurt?

so connections may be break out? or at least reluctant to form in the first place...
And then these are probably things that might have a negative effect on the date...?

That's why I'm asking what is your personal experience during dating a retrograde..
