Okay, ya'll here goes...
My progressed Asc moves from Aries (thank goodness) into Taurus in May. I am excited and very curious at the same time, nonetheless. That said, since my Sun Sign (at birth) is also in Taurus, would that have an effect on me? I was not sure how to word this question, but I hope it makes sense? Let me know!

From my own experience as an Aries Sun: After my Asc progressed into Aries I probably did come to project a more Aries image, but my Sun had also progressed into Gemini by then. The effects of one are likely mitigated by the other.
It would be interesting to observe in someone with a 1st house Sun in early degrees whose late degree Asc in the prior sign progresses to the same sign as their Sun before their Sun progresses out of it!
Venus matters may dominate in this phase, so you could look at your natal Venus, the aspects it makes and any potential transits. Also review Venus in the progressed chart (the aspects...etc, etc). Also consider Scorpio on the Descendant in this time period.
