It's not going to happen with the rocket scientist I loved. Looks like there was another girl at some point, they ran into each other again today, when they saw each other when I was with him it was so fucking awkward. Worst case there was something going on, best case II was a backup plan. I blocked his number. I sohuldn't have underestimated that Grand Cross y'all. Run. I'll cry in the morning. Doesnt feel real yet.

This is a weird thing, but cool.

As you know, I hired a Fiverr guy to build this site. Done!
I then hired a second Fiverr guy, who cleaned up the database and changed the hosting and email server of this blog. He reduced my costs, significantly and while he said I would not need him, I pay him a small amount monthly, in case I need him! This guy is SOOO helpful. He's incredible...and he subbed to my newsletter?

I have an email problem. Specifically, proton mail blocks delivery of emails from this site.  There may be others.

He offered to move it again, but I told him I didn't want to, at least not yet. I said I wasn't exactly unhappy. I was just hoping to be happier...  meaning, I like all the features of my new email.  It's possible, things improve as my server has a good reputation over time?

What struck me is he said he understood me. I could tell he sees what most don't.  Apparently, I act in unusual ways.  I think this is cool.  This random man in Turkey, sees me, clearly.  I wouldn't expect it.  Further, he sees I struggle with this. He was letting me know I don't have that problem in his case.  It's glorious.

Neighbor released home on hospice. They give her one month if she eats. Two weeks if she does not. She has no appetite, obviously. 🙁

There are a number of people around here, building and selling, tiny homes. The run 25-35K depending on size and amenities.

I love the idea of tiny homes. I would have been able to get into the home ownership a lot sooner if this was a thing in my 20s. I will probably downsize into one in my last years.

@jana I could see letting tiny home people stay on our land...make little a neighborhood, basically. Garden together and such.

I realize, this is kind of crazy. I'm just always wanting people to come together.

@jana thank you! It would be rent free, for the most part. Just help!

I'd dig a well.

@sue-ellen we have one, but I guess it would need to be expanded, depending on how many tiny homes.

That's incredibly cheap!  Does the buyer own the land the house is on, or is there a land lease or monthly rent?

Wow, that's probably cheaper than building a garage!  I just told my dog's chiropractor about this as he's looking to add a new space for his home office.  Anyone with a large yard could add one for an income producing VRBO or guest unit too.

Ah, okay, a Portable tiny house.  Sounds adorable, and a perfect home base for retirees or WFH folks who want to see the country while able to freely use their vehicle, parking the tiny house in an RV park for weeks or months.  And potentially park permanently on land they purchase eventually.  Cool!

I went to a financial seminar last night where they give you a free meal and try to sell you a financial product. It was at a really good restaurant that we had not ever visited and we thought we might learn something for our retirement so me and my husband went.

We were seated at a table with a mother and her adult son and a single older woman. We had a good time. The woman was an RN who actually grew up not to far from our house. She told me her father was murdered there 30 years ago forcing the to move to another town. She was 14 at the time. My husband was talking to the son at the time and didnt hear her story. When I told him in the car he was like What! How! Who! Why! Of course I did not know because I did not probe. People tell me things all the time. I never probe. They tell me as much as they want and I hold the space. My husbands 9th house Sag Sun was aghast! What a waste of a lead! lol

I got several great dinners that way years ago, and learned some important SS info.

I'd have probed as tactfully as possible, then searched the web for details later at home!

I was thinking of haunted houses. I’d not like to live in one. Didn’t think you would either.

Still it’s interesting that she would openly speak of it. It was a lot for her to process.

September looks like crap. Worse than August.

I hope people didn't waste too much energy worrying this month, as it's been doable.

We are going to have an early fall. Arctic patterns dipping further south through September.

So if you are a fan of less heat and longer fall weather(I am)--that will be one upside Smile

@jana I'm feeling pretty good, overall. Last winter was easy for me, painwise and all. I've had such a hard time, now alleviated. I've got no complaints.

I am resolving my garden early this year. Part of the modifications I'm making to preserve my spine.  My main thing is to stay on my feet. I am surrounded by people relying on me. I rely on them as well.

But it's good to know the cooler weather is coming early. I'm not done until my garlic is in. I think I have too much. Hard to believe,  I know. But my husband barely eats these days. I have a lot of adjustments to make.
