Sound, vibrations, and hertz. And breathing exercises. Etc.

Is anyone interested in this. I sometimes listen to binaural beats when I want to close my eyes or just hang out.

I hear a man hitting a tuning fork at a frequency of 528 hz I think. I felt it in the center of my body and radiate. I think it’s the solar plexus.

I’m not well versed on all this but I do love listening to the sounds.

I’ve also started doing Wim Hof breathing (basic) when I remember (!) and when I know I can get uninterrupted time. It feels cool. It’s also teaching me to be patient in the moment, work through it, and try not to panic.

Anyone else?

Can recommend breathing exercises. When I was going through a really scary time, I forced myself to focus entirely on slow, deep breathing and slow movements. It helped enormously, eliminating my panic and subduing my fear. So glad I've got that in my 'toolbox'.

I've not had much experience with vibrations etc, but I do remember going to gigs and in some of them, the bass would reach such a frequency that I couldn't hear it, just feel it thrumming in the centre of my body/solar plexus. I can remember all the hairs on my body standing on end and just grinning like an idiot, feeling like I was almost part of the air around me. Weird 😀

I've read about sound baths and from what I gather, they can have quite a profound effect on the body.

@plutolover The live music thing is awesome. Especially deep base.

You reminded me of something I can do (better if I practice), a meditation where I try to get that floating feeling. That helps with the breathing and calming down, too.

I'm friends with a gal who offers sound healing baths, and she even gave me a gift certificate, but I haven't tried it yet.

I'm a big fan of binaural beats. I was introduced to them when I started syntonic phototherapy, and now I turn them on sometimes when I am working or cleaning the house. My brain is easily irritated by music, and I tend to prefer silence, so the binaural beats are a really happy medium for me.

I have tried Wim Hof breathing but it didn't grow on me. I do occasionally partake in ice cold showers though. Lately I am liking this breathing exercise which I learned from Rick Rubin on the Huberman Lab podcast. I really like the sound cues as opposed to verbal cues. Andrew Huberman also specifically recommends 40 hz for binaural beats. I love his podcast.

These things do seem to be helping me build some form of a meditation practice into my life. Every little thing helps to reduce anxiety and learn to face life head-on with patience and compassion. <3

@cocopeaches I’ve never tried the sound baths. That sounds amazing. I have only done the basic Wim Hof (quick, circular in/out breaths followed by no breathing, then inhale hold for 15 sec, and repeat) and I understand there are other ones.

But that one you mentioned sounds really interesting and I will check that out. Thank you!

I want to practice my visualization for meets, as well. I understand it’s best to start way in advance because it’s a skill.
