I never watched LA Law, but totally agree with this statement. I realise I am making my life more difficult in various ways by not conforming, but, whatever. There is no gain that I can see by falling in with the in-crowd.

LA Law was a fantastic show, as was Hill Street Blues. I can still see the faces and hear the voices of some characters -- funny how the brain works!
I remember noticing, and hating, the sycophant crap all the way back to primary school. Never made sense. Whatever they were selling, I didn't want any.
