Valentine’s Day Comin’ In Hot, Sans Impulse Control

Valentines Day 2024I rarely mention Valentine’s Day but this year, it looks a bit dangerous.  I’m not talking about being knifed. I’m talking about being rejected and amputated!

Now that doesn’t mean you can’t have a good time but let’s get real here.  The moon is in Aries and you may really feel like fighting! If this be your goal, can you manage it? Hell yeah!

We’ve got Mars conjunct Pluto in Aquarius, conjunct Venus in Capricorn. See what I mean. It’s all unstable as well, with four bodies in Aquarius, Uranus aspecting the sun and Mercury.

Do what you want but be aware the other person may be sitting ‘cross from you containing their more then their sexual desire (hint – rage).

Quintessential song for such a day…

“Boo Hoo! Boo Hoo! Boo Hoo! Boo Hoo!”

  1. All this will be bunched up in my 3rd house. Moon Aries will conjunct my 5th house moon. Plus I have venus, Pallas and ceres conjunct pluto Aquarius! I better win the damn lottery that day!

    1. Ash Wednesday is actually 2/14 this year. Main Mardi Gras parade in Nola is obviously 2/13. Ours in Pcola is Sat 2/10. 🙂 love it!

  2. I hope not, but l see why you would think it…that Mars/ Pluto is no pussy cat. Bob cat maybe. People make too much of Valentine’Day. Over priced rose’s without any scent. Surcharges at resturants. Forced and unnatural. A woman l used to know Aries Venus/sun conj T squ. to Mars/Saturn used to make such a big deal about it. One poor bloke (who must have subconsciously been looking for a way out) bought her supermarket chocolates and flowers from a service station…they never found the body.

    1. i’ve never, i did not even know until i moved to england in the late 70s, in germany we never had this, or halloween. but hollywood…!

      1. Yes. Hollywood and advertising…
We never had Halloween either, although we did have Cracker Night in Australia until, too many injuries, stopped it. I do like Halloween, l think of the older festival that predates it. But really it is lollies for the kid and dress ups. England in the 70s would have been something Saba

        1. i only encountered halloween when i moved to ireland in 97. i don’t mind the real halloween. or giving sweets to children. hollywood, ruined german christmas too. it infiltrates everything.

  3. Dear Elsa,
I was wondering if the Planetary alignment could help in finding something that has been lost or
    misplaced? I realize this
    is a strange question.
    Thank you!
    Charlie

  4. It’s weirdly apt that we will have this line up of planets in Aquarius on Valentine’s Day, and onwards from that. Two days later, Venus will enter Aquarius, and then the following week, we will finally have the Venus/Mars conjunction at 6°Aquarius. The Venus/Mars conjunction will square Jupiter (in Venus ruled Taurus).

I do feel this will be some kind of paradigm shift in relationships, given the newly ingressed Pluto Aquarius. Maybe unusual attraction/repulsion dynamics. Or a theme of friendship interwoven in relationships – could be ending a relationship/attraction and becoming just friends. Or a friendship that transforms into a relationship.

With Pluto involvement, could be a case of beware of the corpses! Those resurfacing corpses, coming back as something/someone different though (haha Frankenstein!?). Under novel, unexpected, and unusual circumstances. Getting to know them all over again from Square One if they have come back …. different.

    1. St Valentine’s day originated in the 14th century, possibly to replace Lupercalia, the Roman pagan fertility festival where a goat would be ritually sacrificed, then men would chase the women with bits of goat hide and whip them, to encourage fertility.

After that, the womens’ names were put in a jar, and whichever name the man picked, he would sleep with her, and then they would become a couple if she fell pregnant.

I think I would prefer the chocolates, roses, and cringey poetry myself 😂😂 Lets leave the goat alone!

      1. Ah, another co-oped holiday by the Christians…..makes sense.

And, yes, stale chocolate from the grocery sounds way better! lol!

    2. The “massacre” was a mob hit in Chicago and given that name because it happened on Valentine’s Day.

LOVE having a Taj Mahal clip used in an astrology post!!!

      1. Me too! Cracked me up, I literally just talked to him a couple weeks ago. Not exactly bringing up a corpse, just a very old friendship. PS. He’d love the use in Elsa’s astrology post.

  5. i’m having pluto co mars/venus transit anyhow. on the 16th, sun con chiron day i call it, just pre my bd, [ i always used to get depressed just pre bd, now i know why. and sun con chiron is not a fun aspect to have. ] i’ll have mars con v, and v con mars. i wonder how that’s gonna affect me. what with my pluto/venus situation.

  6. A Pisces friend is having (rescheduled) heart valve surgery that day
I guess we will see if it happens… 3x’s the charm

  7. My mom has her first surgery 2/13 to create a fistula for dialysis

*Maternal relative purportedly ordered St Valentines Massacre hit

  8. I’m slightly concerned by Moon and Chiron conjunct my Saturn and opposite my natal Chiron, in the context of a personal sitch. Other than that, it’s going to take no less than this much chaos for me to ever have *any* fun on San Valentin. Lol.
