Weekend Love Forecast – Dissolving Dreams, Solid Truths

handsVenus in Sagittarius is hopeful, aspirational — bouncy even. Sadge Venus square Pisces Neptune can be having those high hopes dashed. High hopes dashed is worse than not getting what you want. It’s having something you wanted go missing or finding out that what you desired is actually kind of lousy.

Venus squares Neptune exactly early Saturday. Friday night, the Aquarius Moon squares the Scorpio Sun then goes on to trine retro Jupiter in Gemini and sextile retro Chiron in Aries overnight. Dissolving pleasures and disappearing values suck; but if you’re willing to face reality, gut it out and learn a new trick or two, the mood facilitates a renewal of meaning and hope through realistic action. We can figure this out, learn.

Saturday night, the Aquarius Moon sextiles Venus then moves through the midpoint of the retro Neptune, Capricorn Pluto sextile. Find the value in moving on. The electric, airy mood enables us to get rid of whatever remaining illusions plague us and hold us back from firing up our values to seek what we need. Hope is an asset. Our ability to connect to others is an asset. Look for the opportunities presented by the buzzy, forward-facing mood.

Sagittarius Mercury continues in square to retro Saturn in Pisces all weekend. Restriction in speech is likely at least somewhat internal, holding yourself back or fearful of having that conversation. That relative lack of flow can slow down understanding without slowing down the rate your own brain spins. Take it slow if a conversation needs to happen. People may not be quite as charitable listeners as we’d like, so be prepared to repeat or put things another way. Harsh truths are the order of the moment, but they don’t have to be mean. If people matter to you, give them time.

Late Saturday, the Moon moves to Pisces and emotionality is evident; we’re steeped in it. As the Moon begins a square to Mercury, words, thoughts, and senses are ripe for the lash of misunderstanding: hurt feelings. Simple expressions (of compassion) are often best.

Sunday’s Pisces Moon moves into square with Mercury then conjunction to retro Saturn. More big thoughts influence rolling emotions, but feeling sorry for oneself is likely to cause more frustration than catharsis. Limit such thoughts and connect on a heart level with others instead, even if it’s just in theory.

A lot of practical thinking and a few choice, well-considered words are going to be more helpful than ranting and venting. Listening and internalizing what’s truly meant by what’s said are invaluable. In time, we make meaning from what we learn now. Do you have any weekend plans?

  1. ” It’s having something you wanted go missing or finding out that what you desired is actually kind of lousy.”

    Story of my Venus-sq-Neptune life

  2. I have to begin to write my master’s thesis and I’m terrified because I’ve never done anything like this before and it’s going to be an important part of the next year of my life. I’ve been procrastinating and a week behind on one assignment, with another due in three days.

So tomorrow to the library and no hiding my head in the sand. My academic advisor is very open and understanding and I have to explain and ask for help but afraid at the same time.

Pisces Moon in the 9th. Sound about right?

    1. As one of my mentors told me when I was freaking out at a similarly endeavor, “Stop looking at the mountain, just start climbing!”

I will add, you are more than enough to handle this and more. Your best is more than good enough. Be kind to yourself. 🙂

Postscript, I made it over the mountain and you will too.

  3. An art show opening today —Saturday afternoon. I created four new storytelling art pieces for the show. We’ll go see them entangled with the art of my neighbors. Expand and be included, rooted where we live connected to my past and, grateful to be a grandmother still climbing mountains (slowly with many pivots)

    😘🌈 Moki

  4. Great read Satori. I can relate to this as my venus is 14 degrees SAG. My moon 27 degrees sag. Trying to lift myself back up after such a blow.
