Is your moon in the 8th house? How do feel about it?

My Virgo Moon is in the 8th regardless of house system used.  Aries Sun and Cap ASC for some balance, thank heaven.  My Moon sextiles my Scorpio MC/Saturn, trines my Taurus Venus, and widely trines my 0 Cap Mars in 12th.

Perhaps it's what makes me a suspicion-squared, analyse-everything-to-death Eeyore.  And also the "let me fix it, save it, rescue it, restore it" and frugal-to-a-fault helper.  And the dog-with-a-bone relentless researcher into anything I consider a fascinating mystery.  Always the Grand Passion-or-Nothing lover, but heartily entertained by the peccadilloes of others, and not above relatively circumspect intrigue.  Superstitious and creeped out by the dark side.  Averse to owing money, hate corruption, reluctant to be part of any entity I can't respect.

From the moment in childhood when I discovered that all life was finite and fragile, it cast a slight but ever-present shadow over even the brightest sunlight.  The experiences I treasure most are those that momentarily obliterate that shadow.

@opalina

My Moon is my only Virgo placement and my only 8th house occupant.  My POF at 29° 20' Leo is just a hair shy of my 7th/8th cusp at 29° 31' Leo.

It feels like I can know things Im not always supposed to know. I can feel what others feel, especially when they are in pain.  The boundaries are so nebulous to me...Im highly attuned to energy. I walk into a room and get 'vibes', I cant explain. My Moon in Gemini is in the eight and highly aspected, being so attuned is a curse and a blessing. Ruler Mercury is in the 12h.

I sense a lot but dont show it.  People dont have a clue at everything I am picking up because I can stay poker faced and not reveal what I know.

Ps. @Warped, I love how you write, so eloquent. Thank you for explaining it so well.

"let me fix it, save it, rescue it, restore it"

Love this. I think a lot of 8h moons feel almost an obligation to relieve another's pain. We try our best.

It was like this with my even in my childhood. I have Moon conjunct Chiron, I wanted to heal my mother's pain. I was so sensitive to all her feelings. I loved her deeply and her rejection or inability to understand me, relate to me, comfort me, has been very difficult.

I will also say, with this placement... feelings are amplified and I get scared of getting out of control. I can hate with a passion, and love with a passion, or I just feel numb. There is little in between. The fact that I *know* my feelings can get out of control, terrifies and embarrasses me. I feel like A lot of my energy is spent trying to control my own emotions and it's exhausting sometimes.

Smile I love what you wrote Warped and Strawb. I can relate to a lot of it. Except I avoid those vibes and the people in pain lilke the fucking plague. I can always feel their vibes and I'm not cool with that. If you have bad vibes I don't ever want to see you again. I can't feel them over the internet though, which is nice! I can help online Smile But in person they're so gross. I don't know if it's because my Moon is in Sag which isn't a feely sign, or because it's conjunct Satun which is also pretty anti-feeling. Weirdly though I LOOOOOVE feeling those vibes in fiction. Probably because you feel it, it's all cathartic, and then you move on. In real life its more lasting.
"Grand Passion" is such a nice way to put it. When I was 12yrs old I filled an ENTIRE notebook with "I love Nsync!" and it hurt SO BADLY writing for so long, but I felt like if I wanted to be truly committed I HAD to do it. That is just the tiniest example. When I get into something I am ALL IN, life or death! Until I get bored. And relentless researcher - definitely. There's nothing I love more than research!

Another part of 8H moon is your home. NO ONE is allowed into my home, except my parents and my 3 closest friends. I have never had anyone else over in all the year I've had my own places. When landlords have to come for whatever reason my skin is crawling the entire time. Even when my apartment looks nice and clean and beautiful, no one is allowed. And no one is allowed to know when I'm home. If I want to go out I watch the hallways/outside and make sure no neighbors are around to see me leaving, because I can't STAND the fact that anyone but me knows when I'm home and when I'm not. Back in Vegas I would walk places sometimes just so the neighbors wouldn't see that my car was gone, because it was none of their business. Even taking out the trash I had to wait and make sure no one was around. And God forbid anyone ever knocks on my door.

Everything is a secret. I can't talk on the phone in public. I can't talk when I'm close to strangers. What's the Asian thing where everyone sits at one table and watches the chef slice and cook stuff? My Brother LOOOOOVES that but I hate it SO PASSIONATELY because the chef is there and can listen to you talk, and sometimes strangers are seated with you, so I just sit in silence the entire time and grunt any time I have to reply. I can't talk on buses or planes or trains. I can't talk in line. Even if a friend asks something so simple like "what time is the movie" I fucking hate it because none of the stranger there need to know that I'm going to a movie. It's like the whole world is eavesdropping all the time. Omgg and themeparks!! Thsoe have SO MANY LINES and they are SOOOOOOO LONG, its just hours and hours of this. But usually at theme parks I get slap-happy and get over it. The thing is though I am 100% fine with talking TO strangers, I just don't want them listening without my explicit permission. But maybe that's more of a Mercury thing? Mine is in Scorpio.
