When I lived in Florida, I sometimes felt that way about it.  On the surface it was 'beachy', but underneath it's dirty, dirty, dirty.

I have a theory on this.

I think this sensation is very strongly related to swamps. It is, at least, for me.  Immobile, black water not going to anywhere. Many religious beliefs around the World seem to make this connection, too, and I think I originally made this realization reading about pre-Christian believes of Mari People living at the Ural Region and still practising some shamanistic religious ways that probably were more widespread all across Eurasia.

We have large area of swamps where I'm from, I don't go anywhere near the swamps,  because I feel something there. Florida is the same. There are all those supposedly pretty residential areas with channels which I just found creepy. And sure enough, the short period I was there, there was a freak murder at one of them just 10 miles inland to where I stayed (by The Ocean, which is too big to hold that energy, so, pure and relaxing to me). Venice, Italy, has that undercurrent of evil too.

It would be interesting to know whether these areas that make Rhino uncomfortable have been swamps.

That is so funny you say that; when I was a kid, and I heard about a lot of really weird and brutal murders happening in the midwest, I thought it had something to do with water too- or the lack of ocean or far proximity to it.

The ocean or large bodies of water are very therapeutic, and I had *hypothesized* (when I was like 10, mind you) that people did these terrible killings because they were so far away from the ocean.  I think there is a lot of energy in water; it can clean, baptize, nourish.  Not a lot of elements can be used so multilaterally, you know?

I wanna know about the creepy, evil states!! It can't be NJ, we are full of Italians and Catholics, and have a Republican governor, lol. :)

I wanna know about the creepy, evil states too.  NJ has got to be on the list.  This is the "NO" state.  I can't imagine driving a truck through here.  You better have everything in order and then some, otherwise you will have problems.

Yeah, we got some good pizza!

No offense to those from Jersey, but the drivers I hate the most are from New York and New Jersey...

Jersey pizza is awesome but damn you drivers like to run a bitch off the road...it's got to be from those crazy jug handle things lol

Holy shit! I didn't know =(

It's a good thing that they are spaced so far apart. If it's Epilepsy & it escalates, there are commonly 2 ways of going with drugs to control seizures: Phenobarbital or Potassium bromide. The second is usually preferred in younger dogs (less hard on the liver), but with either, if you start you usually have to keep them on the drug for life. It's often a trail & error process to get medication right- different dosage/needs for every dog.

The one thing you need to watch for, is if she fits for longer than 5 minutes, she will not be able to regulate her body temperature & she will over heat to a very dangerous level (don't want to alarm you, but brain damage can occur), so be sure to keep her cool as you can when she fits (a fan is good!). Hopefully fits won't be lasting that long though =(

Dogs often start acting weird some time before a fit (some for minutes before- some for hours), so you can learn to watch for the signs. With people coming & going, yeah... not much help, but sometimes the cause can be as mild as knowing it's dinner time- the excitement that causes...

Bloody hell! Well I don't know... it's not necessarily a death sentence. Many cases can be managed well if it's Epilepsy. It's also believed to be inherited... any chance you can talk to the lady you got her from? Know anyone of her brothers & sisters? Not that it changes anything, but it might help you with a history. It's also said that the worst usually occurs between 6 months & 6 years old for some reason...

I hope you can get a handle on it soon. Poor Lila... awful for all of youfrown

Having talked to him over the years, as he drives through these states...I tend to think he's. The change in his mood is drastic.

My husband avoids evil. He knows what can happen. If you've been around awhile, you may remember, when he goes off the way he does, he pushes dead people he meets, aside. He won't talk to them or allow them to talk to him. It's pretty freaking interesting.

Thank you, McKenna. That was incredibly helpful. The seizures were short, but recently longer.  Calling my husband now.
