I have dealt with it. I don’t know man. I have my theory that I can only apply to one person and I see it through kind of a metaphysical lens.
There was a lot of polio at one point. Lots of synthetic medications, antibiotics. There’s also just a lot more people, although I guess that wouldn’t necessarily affect the statistical aspect (or maybe would, I’m not statistically minded at all and don’t completely understand the practice).
My brother's wife was diagnosed with alzheimers in 2014 at the age of 50. It's very young to begin that path. She was put in a care facility last year. It's one of the harder things in life to frame to any degree. All you get is a definition and it solves nothing in the complexity of trying to understand the magnitude of taking leave before you have left.
I have mostly felt that there is some sort of metaphysical root, something mysterious at play that we are unable to see.
Transiting Neptune crossed her Sun when she received her diagnosis. She is a Pisces.

I think I heard that they are trying to screen for Alzheimer’s through blood tests, by identifying certain proteins in the blood. The think is once identified what can one really do except arrange for the end of life care and do as many things as they can before falling into mental impairment?
Interesting too, I have been watching the Series “This is US” on Netflix and the adult children are now dealing with their mother’s cognitive impairment. It’s sad but she is getting to live some of her biggest dreams. One of her sons is a popular movie actor so he has the money to support her in anyway he can-so she gets to stay at The Plaza Hotel in NYC and wear a beautiful purple beaded and sequined gown, while accompanying her son on the Red Carpet at his premier. Sadly, when the interview reporter asks her where they are staying in NYC, she gets terribly flustered, and can only describe the Hotel as she remembers it from a story she read as a child, which was from a children’s book “Eloise”. My heart was breaking for the character and you can see the confusion not only in her but can see the utter concern and trepidation on her son’s face, before he saves the moment in saying “Yes, The Plaza Hotel”. It is such a difficult scene because you are right there feeling what they are feeling.
