Weekly Forecast: June 10-14, 2024 – Beyond the Violence

prom beautiesYes, Mars square Pluto can be violence, but violence takes many forms. The Mars-Pluto square ratcheted up its tension all weekend, and some have seen it snap already. The aspect is exact Tuesday morning, but its impact is varied and personal.

Mars in Taurus is ruled by Venus in airy and mutable Gemini – part of a vibrant stellium including Jupiter, Gemini-ruler Mercury, and the Sun. The Sun and Venus (and eventually Mercury) sextile Chiron in Aries, a snappy and fortunate circuit. Valuable experience informs our actions now, and through it we’ll catch a break.

Pluto in airy and mutable Aquarius refers back to Uranus in Taurus, a bit detached but humanitarian, and tangibly rich in vibrant insights. Change is its calling card here. Change through destruction is Pluto, but so is change through regeneration. With the influence of Uranus, there’s the element of surprise. With Uranus in Taurus, there’s a silver lining.

Mutability is the thing. Stay nimble, be ready to pivot and shift. Mars in Taurus is earthy and fixed, a base for leverage. Venus heads into square with Neptune this week, so faith is not cheap and may be harder to muster. But that’s the move. Even when you’re flying blind, trust in your ability to call up the guts you need. Believe in your own physical and mental resources and the ability to swing into action when needed.

Monday’s Sun-ruled Leo Moon sextiles Mercury, and Venus perfects a sextile to Chiron overnight. There’s plenty to take in, and lots of planning to consider. Load your mental arsenal and make it a two way street. Give out as well as take in. Give and take improves understanding and the value of each tidbit. What can you learn?

On Tuesday morning, the Mars-Pluto square perfects then begins to recede… tensions soften, but stay ready to pivot anyway. Obviously the first part of the week is not a time to take wild chances with your safety.

Tuesday’s Leo Moon sextiles the Sun, trines Chiron, then sextiles Venus. The Sun sextiles Chiron through Wednesday night. The Moon goes on to square Uranus. The mood churns up some errant anxiety, but the main focus remains on upgrading the process. This is how confidence is earned, confidence we add to our stock of resources and the ability to improve our prospects.

Mercury squares Saturn, exact early Wednesday, so take your time and expect delays. With Saturn in Pisces, you never know if that delay is actually in your favor. Have a backup plan. Be as precise as you can, but leave room for adjustment.

Wednesday, the Mercury-ruled Virgo Moon trines Mars and squares Jupiter. With the Mercury-Saturn square easing off, the urge is there to surge ahead; and the mood-check would be in getting too far out there, too much of a good thing. You don’t want to get too far beyond your resources, nor do you want to spend a bunch of emotional energy on something that doesn’t fit your larger plans. Still, having a good time is worth something too.

On Thursday, the Virgo Moon opposes Saturn and forms a mutable t-square with Mercury and the Sun. Jupiter and Venus bookend the Gemini position, so it looks like a bit of a gamble as well. Sometimes boundaries, barriers, and slow-ups can be in our best interest – even if we can’t spot it at the time. Even when they seem to come from someone seemingly bent on diminishing us. We can make the most of this by focusing our intentions and desires on something bigger, something that benefits more than just ourselves (but may include us). Training up is a benefit that lasts.

Friday morning, Mercury conjoins the Sun, and the Virgo Moon trines Uranus then squares Venus and opposes Neptune (a wide t-square). It’s that whole “you can’t always get what you want… get what you need” thing, but here – it may be unclear what either of those things might be. SO, don’t get your head in a spin over it; get on to something else, something pleasurable and distracting and life-affirming. Why not?

Friday afternoon’s Libra Moon forms a grand air trine with Pluto and Jupiter. Lighten up? Maybe, but it’s a big and intense type of lightening up that hopes to balance the frustrations amassed from earlier in the week. Socializing seems inevitable. It’s giving creepy dance party in that Matrix movie sequel sort of thing, but with far less ick.

  1. Lighten up! Reminds me of a memorable novel, Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins, born on the cusp of Cancer and Leo… a running theme throughout the novel is the word “Erleichda” roughly meaning, Lighten up
