Saturn In Sagittarius: What’s Your New Frontier?

path through woodsSagittarius rules higher education. With Saturn in Sagittarius, we should all be working to expand our knowledge.

My son’s situation is classic. He will start college with Saturn in Sagittarius. He’s planning (Saturn) this now.

Personally, I am working to master the back-end of this website. This is also classic.  I am learning so I can expand (Sagittarius) my business (Saturn).

Are you embarking on a similar journey?  Tell us!

  1. I’m working on a 24 hour concierge al la computerized of course for my salon! And slowly decorating the interior to reflect more of my personal style. (moved locations after 3 years post taking over ownership)committing to be more financial savvy aware and getting used to the word “fiancé” bye bye Saturn in Scorpio return! This is my transition year.

  2. oh, so many things I’m planning.while reading a magazine I saw there were condo, apts to rent for week or less or maybe more. I decided that would be great idea for next Christmas gfor my family. It’s completely furnished and lots to do in area. And it’s only about an hour and half away. planning mode for that. also, trips for the spring to go home and help my 91 year old dad plant his garden this year. He said it is harder to bend over to the ground now (he’s very tall).I have so much (too much) going through my mind right now. even listening to music and it seems so slow-listened to oldies last night and couldnt get over the fact that they sang so slow and music
    seemed draggy.

  3. Thats what I’m seeing for most people without much sag in their chart.
For most sag suns or stelliums, I’m seeing they’re actually facing some limitations. In my case (sag sun 12th house conj mars), the road to knowledge and studying closed into only one path. It comes with pressure “if I fail this path, then everything’s lost”.

I’d like to know what other people with significant sag in their chart are facing, or even sag in 9th house cusp.

    1. Sag sun in 5th house natally, but I’m totally not good at reading my own chart, so don’t know what else is going on with it.

That’s not the point I’m trying to make though. I too feel the same pressures you speak of. Completely. I feel as if the world is on my shoulders and that if I stray just a little, everything will crumble.
It comes with pressure “if I fail this path, then everything’s lost”.

      1. Sag Moon and Sag Saturn, and I actually feel this too: It comes with pressure “if I fail this path, then everything’s lost”.

    2. betty sky, i have a sag sun conjunct neptune, opposite saturn in gemini, and a sag stellium (jupiter, mercury, venus). right now saturn is moving over my sun/neptune.
i’m experiencing what you describe: its like i’ve tried all other potential paths and the only one left is the one i’m on and it does feel like there is nothing else and i need to not fail.
in my case the path is a graduate degree in a topic that i never could have imagined studying just a few years ago, which saved me from having nothing left to do or try. it is a miracle, no other way to describe it. so i hope/imagine that with a miracle on my side saturn’s move through sag will be a good supportive thing.

  4. I’m writing my first novel. My son is graduating with his masters and beginning his career. One of my daughters is in college and has changed her major to nutritional science and she and my other daughter are considering a business venture. My dog plans to sleep a little more than normal; he’s smart enough.

  5. Music & religion. Both aren’t entirely new (studied them both last time Saturn was in Sadge too) but different instrument, etc. in my 12th h.

  6. I think it’s great for Vid and his Generation to start College with Saturn in Sadgittarius. I think classes going to College with this influence will be more study orientated as whole!

  7. Oh, I’m learning… I’m learning about myself and how to unjack my pathologies. (Pluto square transit, too. *winks*)

  8. I’m actually really excited about this transit. I have 00 sadge moon, packed 9th house and jupiter conjunct mercury and midheaven. (Yep, I’m a writer!) I was really worried about transiting Saturn conjunct my moon, and though everything in life is Really Slow this whole past year, it’s actually been good. I’m confronting a lot of deep insecurities…BUT I’m figuring out how to alleviate them!
I think for me saturn in sadge will partly be about travel and geography. I will finally finish my BA during it (after 20 years). I’m planning to do independent studies in creating map art, sacred places and the like. It feels really vivid and alive, and I’m looking forward to collaging from my travel magazines. 🙂 And I recently met a really cool new bf who has huge sadge energy, so we’ll see where that goes…so far it’s monumentally big for him and I suspect he will propose not long into things. Kind of curious to see what happens and how my feelings evolve.
(Anyone know of any Saturn moon transits correlating with meeting a future spouse? Pluto is conjunct his Saturn. We have multiple reciprocal Saturn Venus connections in our synastry. I can see things going any number of ways but he is pretty blown away by me.)

      1. Thanks Elsa. Good luck to you and your son! I can’t believe he will be at college soon, I remember reading your posts on Vid, the 8 year old sun-Saturn kid! Really appreciate the work you do to keep this blog running for years on end.

  9. First house in sagittarius – love to study and travel. Starting a course in university now part-time and planning to go to Peru later this year.

  10. I’d like to get back in school, pending financial aid. And I’d like to complete a 12 step program, finally.

Just thinking that last part sounds Saturn neptuny no? ha.

  11. I went to Mass yesterday and last Sunday 🙂 So looks like Im going to become Catholic which is strange considering how esoterically I believe. I may move back to my home state (sag is in my 4th with natal uranus and jupiter in sag) and definitely going to start a graduate degree, finally.

  12. I’m learning more about diet to control my husbands diabetes and my hypoglycemia to improve our health and vitality.

  13. I’m learning how to manage an acreage, and about growing/raising food. Hoping to turn it into my job eventually. Currently two weeks in to raising my first batch of chickens for meat, and planning out the garden for spring. Learning to do more and more construction projects for myself. I was well into my twenties before I learned to use an electric drill.

  14. Interesting, there’s a guy I like named James Altucher. He writes about business and all of the changes coming up. Total Aquarian. His main premise is to Choose Yourself, meaning make your own way as opposed to waiting for a company, job or school to accept you and “allow” you to have a life. He is against college, and his perspective is really interesting. The idea that education should be scrutinized is timely and logical. Perhaps that’s Saturn in Sadge, too.

  15. I feel kind of left out because even with a Moon in Sagittarius, I don’t have anything new that I’m starting, although I know what I SHOULD be doing and it has to do with my health. With Saturn transiting the 12th house, I shudder to think what it could all mean. (P.S. Kumquat – That book sounds interesting. I’ll check it out.)

  16. Isn’t Saturn a planet of contraction? I thought Jupiter was expansion…
At any rate, Saturn is transiting my 2H. We just came into a good deal of income, my husband transferring to a job that rocks and pays more, and we are not facing opportunities to be mature about our resources and to make choices about our means and our lives rather than react only to emergencies. This is enormous for us, since we’ve been real idiots with our money from day 1 lol We are finally growing up in this area, and it’s freeing!
I am also thinking very intensely about the prospect of going back to school to enhance my prospects of doing more teaching. I teach people from around the world (Sag), actually, which is funny, considering the placements going on 🙂

  17. @treehugginmama, Saturn feel like restriction, but it depends on your perception. Usually the walls we place around ourselves, we come to find out later on are just an illusion- the whole time we thought we were closed in all by insurmountable obstacles (walls) we had to do was press a finger on the walls and they would fall. Really saturn is a gift- without it we wouldn’t learn anything. those illusions are necessary- with saturn in sag the lessons are about freedom and truth. depends on your own karma how you’ll experience it.

  18. Blogging, business, Twitter, marketing, making friends, networking…

There is also a lot of old stuff I haven’t finished studying, but I am gunning to learn about some new topics to inject some freshness and lighten things up.
