Got a call today from an older Capricorn lady friend who has supported my creative efforts for years. We’re having lunch tomorrow to discuss a baby blanket she would like me to knit for a young couple she knows.

Wow! I SO needed to hear this. This is like a “sign” telling me I AM going in the right direction! Thank you Elsa for putting it out there and giving us the nitty gritty of what this transit can feel like. I do feel a lot of fear right now. Incredible! This relates to a heavy duty Saturn influence in one of my friendships that has been kind of going south for a long time, that i depended on for support and distraction from things, but is now suddenly, pulling the rug out from under me. The thing is I was supposed to do that for myself a long time ago and never had the courage. But now I will try to face this with as much courage as I can muster and know that this is what is supposed to be! THANK YOU!!!
PS: I am moving back in with my parents soon for a time, two little old people!..lol

You are so right. I had exactly this kind of breakdown yesterday, and my Scorpio friend just knows what to say to make me get my ass off the bed and make myself JUST DO whatever i fear i might fail in….. which in my case is a career within the fashion industry.
But when should I predict these types of “breakdowns”? so i can start adressing them as “pre satun tension” and try to ignore it 🙂
I’ve got transit pluto square my sun and transit Saturn opposing my sun right now- by less than half a degree. It is brutal. Elsa, as always your advice is so comforting and so on point. Ive never been through anything like this, the fear and pressure is really consuming but when I come to your blog it reminds me that this is something I am going through and not something that is internally wrong with me. Thank you.

I have made a decision this last Saturday, and I have been worrying if it was the right decision to make, as it will affect many lives in the long run… And listening to you I couldn’t help but smile, because you are right: the signs are all here, I have nothing to worry about. As an afterthought, if you can find someone credible in your life during a Saturn transit, maintain a connection if you can – a place to go for a reality check. But don’t lean on the person too hard. They are a guide, not your parent.
You are really are expected to do things or win things on your own merit and your own steam.

Thank you for this post. It is so amazingly timely with everything that’s going on right now. Lots of pressure and long term plans to put into action. Yet also a variety of options to choose from and a desire to make the best choice. Nice to know I’m not the only one wondering but not lost.
Unfortunately no major Saturn figures in my life at the moment. No father-authority figures. I’m usually a Saturn figure for others. Plenty of Plutonians though… wonder what to do with those?

I just came out of Saturn opp Sun, which was crushing at the time. I definitely had an authority figure ‘oppressing’ me and eventually left the position. I’d been in a field that I’ve been trying to break into for a few years that is definitely not from the soul, but a way to be ‘successful’. You just shined the light on my experience with him as my sign that I don’t need to be in that line of work anymore. It’s not something I even liked to do! I’ve wanted to feed my need to serve others in my work for a while, and this is what I needed to hear. 🙂

twentytwo, I feel for you, too. I had Pluto square Sun about 2 or 3 years ago and then just came out of Saturn opp Sun. They were both a bit of a bitch to ride out. Ironically, I got smacked by the same entity in different ways through each transit, although I’m totally free of them now. Things will get better! I can’t tell you how many times I had to tell myself, “This too will pass,” but it does.
i have had not one but two amazing saturn figures appear in my life in the past week (teachers, go figure 😉
and wow.
and, yes, there are signs.

Saturn transitting my 6th House, squaring T Pluto, which is conjuncting my natal NN/Venus in my 8th House – and I’m off doing oral histories of elders in my town, sharing their wisdom in my newpaper column. Suddenly there are Saturn figures galore in my life and they are telling me “Thank you!” Because my Capricorn North Node is involved elders support my life path! My natal Saturn is conjunct my Descendent in Scorpio. My life is starting to make sense here…

Great, great video. I’m past my Saturn return now (gratefully), but looking back – it was a very low period of my life, but also an amazing one. There was one person that was very supportive to me during that time, but I have no idea what her chart consisted of, and no way to find out now. Haha, I’m a Cap with a 1st house Saturn, could I do for myself? But I feel like I did do it, I got a new job, got myself back into the support groups that to this day I find tremendously helpful, and put myself on the path that led to where I’m at now, which is kinda peaceful given what’s going on with the planets. 😉
For what its worth, I think you are fantastic. I recommend you all the time. You have provided both my husband and I sound counsel in the last year. So there! 🙂

Wow, thanks! This really helped me…. it would have helped even more, if it came a bit earlier, like October-November last year. I felt terrible then, always questioning myself, whether to take this road or that one. Saturn Return coming up soon, that was the beginning, and it was also conjuncting my natal Jupiter. At that very time an older man came into my life, wise, experienced, always teaching me things, but not telling me everything, just giving hints. A teacher, no less, by profession! Talking to him gave me so much relief, as he always told me to trust myself! If I would have seen this clip then, I would have known I was on the right path 🙂
But even now, it still helps 🙂
As time has gone on, I posted above and the effect/players keep changing. I haven’t had any Capricorns or older folks support me in anything but I have more friends supporting me in this endevour than ever anyone has in my whole life! The Judges thing makes a lot of sense right now. I had to file something in court last week and I am waiting to see where this is going to go. Lots of pressure still not at the end of the tunnel. Whew! This is good to listen to again.

On some level, I had understood the embodiment of Saturn to be an “old man” or authority figure, but I really needed to be reminded of that right now and it was so helpful! I have Sun, Uranus, Pluto and Mercury in Virgo. This year, an old man who is, quite literally, a spiritual teacher, showed up in my life offering support on my journey. I was surprised and unsure, but he has given me lots of support to question my path, including his appearance. Your commentary was such an affirmation for me to trust my process! Damn, you’re good! I have Trans Saturn in the 8th Trine Natal Saturn in the 12th. I have been dealing with nothing but lawyers and judges the past two years. They DID tell me how good I was handling things, and how I seem like an intelligent go-getter! It may be bankruptcy, divorce and foreclosure, but that’s exactly where I need to be to start a great new life!
