After Friday afternoon’s full moon opposition, the Venus-ruled Taurus Moon conjoins retro Uranus, sextiles retro Neptune in Pisces, and goes on to trine Pluto in Capricorn. The mood is electric and pleasure-seeking, powerful — but a bit whimsical.
Venus in Saturn-ruled Capricorn is gaining ground and seeking safety and a good reputation. With Saturn newly direct, values shift from inner to outer focus, and it makes sense to invest in hard work and scaling a challenging mountain.
All weekend long, Sagittarius Mercury opposes retro Jupiter in Gemini. With Mercury and Jupiter both in a sign the other rules, they have what’s called mutual reception. While generally this leads to the planets aiding each other and working well together, neither planet here is considered at its best condition in the sign opposite the sign it rules. In this case, there’s a lot of information coming in, a LOT, and it may be tough to manage. It may be difficult to tell what info is “good info” or what narrative is complete or incomplete. OR, there may be so much quality info that it’s logistically tough to parse. Meaning-making is the focus, and that takes concentration and discrimination.
As the full moon aspected retro Uranus, we have the Sun perfecting its opposition to Uranus on Saturday night under the Gemini Moon. Experimentation is a great use for this peaking tension, but our focus may be split or erratic.
People may be inclined to test each other, OR they may come off like they’re testing when they’re just quirky or off-kilter. However, it IS a good opportunity to test the waters — just not a generally good idea to game anyone (but keep an eye out for that one too). It’s a great time to “talk about it”: Everybody’s got a big mouth now anyway. Be aware that it’s also natural to think you need to go back and amend or edit yourself. It’s probably a better idea to offer good will and assume you’re getting it in return. If you have to explain a joke, it didn’t hit. Try something else. The same can be said for explaining yourself. If someone requires clarification, they can ask!
Saturday night’s Gemini Moon squares Saturn then goes on to conjoin retro Jupiter and oppose Mercury overnight. The collective mood speaks of a bottleneck. Whether its emotions and feelings or words and ideas, overwhelm may be an issue. In either case, slowing down to find flow is not only the answer, it’s THE ANSWER — the way to satisfaction. Put on a little Barry White and stretch out. Patience and calm offer stability, something to steady oneself.
Mercury also heads into trine with retro Chiron in Aries, so put some of that body wisdom to work and expand your options.
Sunday morning, the Gemini Moon finishes up its illumination of the Mercury-Jupiter opposition. It then heads into square with retro Neptune and quincunx to Pluto by nighttime (exact as the Mercury-Jupiter opposition perfects overnight). Overwhelm inclines folks to space out or daydream, but this stream of data is too good to miss. Even if you don’t have time to properly vet the info, take it in. Document! That way it’s there if need it. Meaning can be made again later when you get a chance to sort.
How was your full moon experience? Do you have any weekend plans?
