Healing Your Life By Addressing Your Blind Spot

Nydia, the blind girl of Pompei paintingIt’s hard to look at yourself objectively.  It’s also hard to find a friend who will be honest with you about what he or she might notice as far as patterns in your life that seem to create problems.

Astrology is enormously helpful in this regard.  It excels as revealing parts of a person’s character which they be unaware of.

This subject is of great interest to me. It’s one of the main ways that astrology has changed my life. If you’ve been studying the subject long enough, I’m sure you’ve had an occasion where you snapped and realized, uh oh… it was me, not them, or some such thing.

It’s really common that one aspect in a person’s chart causes most of their problems.  It’s the 80/20 rule. Cracking something like this will changesyour life.

You can compare this to walking around with a piece of glass in your foot that you don’t know is there. No one tells you, “Hey! There’s a chunk of glass on the bottom of your right foot and not only that, you can remove it…”

For tips on where to begin your search for your own blind spots check this:

Using Astrology To Identify A Person’s Psychological Blind Spots

I’ve thought about teaching a class on this. I have already done something similar. Blind spots hinder a person to no end!

Use Astrology To Solve Problems & Get What You Want!

If you like to do-it-yourself or if you’re an astrologer, that workshop will help you, tremendously. But what if you just want information? Is there a piece of glass in my foot? Where? I can tell you.

You won’t get a lot of coddling in thirty minutes but you will get the raw data.  From there you can decide how to proceed.

Astrology is crisp and clean, efficient and effective. No wonder I’ve stuck with it for all these years.

I told one of my friends that his control issues would get him one day…..unless he gets it taken care of. I don’t brag, but I was right about something for once.

  2. Awesome! If you could help me find my blind spot/s it would be a miracle. I would be astonished if anyone could do it. I mean, I *am* the blind spot. Lol. I practically am Neptune walking. With 8th house undertones.

One of these days I am going to find out.

Thanks Elsa. I read this and felt so much gratitude I went looking for the donate button. Reminded me of me two decades ago and many friends and loves along the way. Oh and of course; one parent. The inner child work, processing feelings during the 2017 sat. sqr chir. -attempting acceptance of even more “stuff” that came up, written down, talked about and thrown out…the hidden, secret, scary, blind spot place. I thank you Elsa and all others like you who have helped me to get through the last eighteen months. I hope the writer finds what they need to get that chunk of glass out of their foot that they don’t know is there. It can be done.

Love this topic! It helped me just put a situation into perspective just by reading your subject line. Like, TA-DA!

I would love to know where something like this could be detected in our charts. I know its a multi-dimensional topic with many variables in the chart to consider, but is Neptune & 12th house and/or 8th a good place to start? Thank you!:)

  5. What do you do when your blind spot is your 12th house Sun that’s inconjunct (by 1degree) Neptune in your 5th house. It’s like I want to stir the tea, so I go to the drawer where I know the tea stirring spoon is, yet it’s pitch dark in there and I can’t see/find the tea stirring spoon that I know is in that drawer. Said Sun is also in an opposition point of a t-square, just for more fun 😉

    1. I wonder if you have ever timed the transits of the other planets when they will form a Yod with your Sun inconjunct Neptune? Especially if any of the long-term outer planets hit that sensitive Yod point. Each month the Moon hits that spot for part of a day. The Sun hits it once a year. But like with a Mercury Retro, you can have 3 interactions within a short time period.

    2. This combo 12th house aspect planets anything is a Helen Keller delight..why psychic powers evolve or incarnation.

  6. “Blind spots.” I love it! You mention Neptune in Libra, and when I think about that, yes, I know so many people with that configuration and they all have this issue. I know I may be sounding rather negative, but at my age (70), I think I should just avoid getting involved in another relationship altogether. My Moon in Libra forms an exact Yod with the Sun in Taurus, and my Ascendant in Pisces. And of course I also have Neptune in Libra.

  7. Really a very good point as we enter transits with squares and oppositions the blind spot is research or gullible loss then some lesson again…why do blind spots even exist…forgetful and details in need of recognition..good question..or stand at attention with a clear eye..

    1. There are countless ways to see something like this, but as one example, a person might have a large stellium in a sign. The stellium is supported by Jupiter or Saturn or both. Point is, this part of the chart dominates in such a way, very serious problems can be overlooked.

  8. I have 3 planets in 3rd house Virgo and 3 in Scorpio (venus 4th – Placidus); with Sun and Mercury in Libra 4th… I’m thinking that can balance … yet it can also signal waffling.
