January Astro: Uranus Direct Disrupting Finance

money glitter nailsUranus will turn direct in Taurus @ 14 degrees on January 22nd.  I think this will be particularly notable.

I say this because looking at aspects for January, Venus and Uranus, alone or in combination, dominate.

  • Venus in Uranus-ruled Aquarius will be yucking it up with Jupiter, Uranus, Mars, then escaping into Pisces by the end of the month
  • Uranus in Venus-ruled Taurus will station, clashing with Venus for about ten days, mid-month.

No one knows what’s going to happen but I can’t see January passing quietly into the night.

Love and relationships will be impacted as well. It’s just when I think of Taurus – hard currency comes to mind.

What do you make of this?  Who do you think comes out on top?

    1. As someone who was born with Uranus on the Midheaven, you will survive! It might not be easy

People think I’m crazy because I’ve moved a zillion times in my life and changed jobs too, and been a long-term contract worker. It can be crazymaking unless you surrender to it and see what it brings in a positive way. Maybe a shakeup at work, or a move? Sudden GOOD fortune?!

  1. I have Venus trine Uranus at 23 Libra happening on that day, exact. Venus is the ruler of my 2nd house Taurus.

Uranus is sextiling my 4th house Cancer placements, and has been preventing Pluto from doing any real damage during a now waning opposition to my Sun from Cap.

(Pluto is out of range in about two weeks after fifteen plus years of squares and oppositions! The end of an era!)

I think I’ll get a pass from this transit. I am more concerned about the three Mercury oppositions (third pass, thank God) to my Cancer stellium on that day. Venus will also oppose natal Mars in Leo on that day but those two are my big money planets so I’m not too worried about that. 🙂

  2. Well…. I just started an online page in order to do work from “home.” T. Mercury on the nadir will Trine my natal Venus, sextile my natal Uranus on the M.C., and Trine T. Uranus in my 8th. Venus and Saturn Transiting the 5th might bring a long-term relationship, but I doubt it and that would be ok. (I have been single for over 30 years.)

I might just get a break from the past 6 years, I need it and deserve it!! 🙂

At any rate, I think this will be a wow, and look forward to seeing what it brings.

  3. I’m no expert, but it seems to me that Uranus in Taurus (hard currency) can bring unexpected finances that bring excitement but a degree of stability. Of course, there are many other factors at play.
On the other hand, circumstances will cause relationship stress and a hard look at finances. Definitely a shakeup for many relationships. I should tell my housemate’s girlfriend (a Taurus) but she doesn’t believe in astrology! (Her mother was an extremely well-known psychic and astrologer for decades.)
I also see unusual ways of making money in altruistic and matters of beauty (fashion, decorating, ornamental gardening, etc.).

  4. I have a Jupiter/Saturn exact conjunction at 14 Taurus in the 12th house in my natal chart. Plus my ASC is 19 Taurus. Not sure the outcome of the up coming Uranus going direct January 22 at 14 degrees event. Over the past two years my 12th house has been getting a serious workout/workover. It seems, to me, at this point what’s one more “event” to upend my 12th house. During that time period I have been doing a lot of personal growth exercises. They became so important and timely for me. Feel as if, I am still standing in an upright position. Head still on my shoulders and have some laughs. Still waiting for the belly laughs to return.

    1. Very interesting, Betty. It looks like you have Uranus at around 19 degrees Aquarius, right? That looks like major change to me. Do you think you might be shaken out of a hermit shell when things get more exact, or in the buildup? The reason I ask is that even though I have a 1st house Sun, I really like to hide out because in my rectified chart I have Saturn exactly on the ASC. So there is a push/pull, kind of like what Jupiter/Saturn does unless balanced or integrated. (I know this well because I have those two planets in tight opposition.) Just some thoughts.

Curious how you experienced the Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn in December 2020.

Also, what in your life is winding up in prep for the new? With this configuration I’d be ready for anything! Keep us posted.

  5. I have Pallas in Scorpio in the 2nd @ 15 which would oppose and then Venus in Taurus @ 20 with minor aspects to Jupiter in the 7th and a quincux to Saturn.

My workplace is supposed to receive grant money around this time, for us as employees cause we are considered “underpaid” to keep us at our job. We’ll see what happens.

  6. “MEDIC!!!” I can see the headlines now, “Man struck by planets!”
In my chart, Pluto at 13 Leo, Saturn at 15 Leo, and Mars at 20 Leo. All within 8 degrees!!! Ever since that Jupiter-Saturn entry into Aquarius, my life has been like a roller coaster that has gone off the tracks, but is picking up speed and just keeps going! My name must be on a scammer’s list because I swear to God, in the last year I have had no less than 30 – probably more – women who want to “friend” me AND take my money! No way!! And with Uranus hanging around in mid-Taurus, my finances are in serious trouble. So between now and February, I have no idea what’s going to happen.

  7. This Uranus station direct will happen exactly opposite my 2nd house moon in Scorpio and my Aquarius Venus in the 5th (whole sign houses) in a looooong Trine to Mars in the 9th, on the degree of Mars station direct.

I am born with an opposition of Uranus and Venus and looking back, Uranus was always rather liberating in shaking things up. I plan to benefit from the Uranus Moon opposition and are not worried. True Node is conjunct my South Node as well, btw.

Nothing, really nothing can be worse than the Pluto 4th house transit that will finally come to an end, whatever Pluto in Aquarius brings it can only be better.

    1. Oh, I totally relate about the Pluto 4th house transit, I have several years to go with that!

That’s a great attitude you have it actually sounds auspicious especially with a great attitude.

  8. Here’s a strange thing: I am aware of two people who are involved in all this finance stuff, tweeting about URANUS, recently. It’s pretty strange.
